1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the safe and effective use of your HOMLYNS Heated Blanket, Model HM-HLT1-NCFR-F. This electric throw blanket is designed to provide warmth and comfort with adjustable heat settings and an automatic shut-off feature. Please read all instructions carefully before use and retain this manual for future reference.

2. Important Safety Instructions

WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, or injury, this product must be used in accordance with the following instructions:

  • Do not use with an infant, child, incapacitated person, or anyone insensitive to heat.
  • Do not use with pets.
  • Never use the blanket if it is wet.
  • Do not use the blanket folded, bunched, or rolled. Ensure it is spread flat during operation.
  • Do not insert pins or other metallic objects into the blanket.
  • Keep the control unit away from water or other liquids.
  • Unplug the blanket from the electrical outlet when not in use.
  • Regularly inspect the blanket, cord, and controller for any signs of wear or damage. If any damage is observed, discontinue use immediately and contact customer support.

4. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack the Blanket: Carefully remove the heated blanket and its components from the packaging.
  2. Connect the Controller: Locate the connector on the blanket and the corresponding plug on the controller cord. Firmly push the plug into the blanket connector until it clicks securely into place.
  3. Position the Blanket: Spread the heated blanket flat on your desired surface (e.g., bed, sofa). Ensure there are no folds, creases, or bunched areas that could trap heat.
  4. Plug into Power: Insert the power cord plug into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

The HOMLYNS heated blanket features a user-friendly controller for adjusting heat settings and managing the auto-off timer.

5.1 Power On/Off

  • To turn on the blanket, press the power button on the controller. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • To turn off the blanket, press the power button again. The indicator light will turn off.

5.2 Adjusting Heat Settings

The blanket offers 4 adjustable heat levels:

  • WARM: Lowest heat setting for gentle warmth.
  • LOW: Moderate heat for comfortable use.
  • MED: Medium heat for colder conditions.
  • HIGH: Highest heat setting for maximum warmth.

Press the heat level buttons (WARM, LOW, MED, HIGH) on the controller to select your desired temperature. The corresponding indicator light will show the active setting.

5.3 Automatic Shut-Off Timer

The HOMLYNS heated blanket is equipped with a 3-hour automatic shut-off timer for safety and energy conservation. After approximately 3 hours of continuous operation, the blanket will automatically turn off. To resume heating, simply press the power button again.

6. Maintenance and Care

Proper care ensures the longevity and performance of your heated blanket. Always follow these instructions carefully.

6.1 Before Washing

  1. Ensure the blanket is unplugged from the wall outlet.
  2. Carefully detach the controller from the blanket by pressing the release tabs (if present) and pulling the plug out. Do not immerse the controller or power cord in water.

6.2 Machine Washing

  • Place the blanket in a washing machine.
  • Use a gentle cycle with cold water (approximately 86°F / 30°C).
  • Use a mild detergent. Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals.

6.3 Drying

  • Tumble dry on a low or medium heat setting.
  • Ensure the blanket is completely dry before reconnecting the controller or storing.
  • Do not iron the blanket.

6.4 Storage

When not in use, store the blanket in a cool, dry place. Avoid folding it tightly or placing heavy objects on it, which could damage the internal heating elements.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your HOMLYNS Heated Blanket, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
