5. Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your YAWV Cordless Leaf Blower for its various functions.
5.1 Blower Function Assembly
- Install the rubber tube buckle onto the rubber extension tube.
- Connect the plastic extension tubes to the rubber extension tube.
- Attach the assembled tube system to the blower unit. The rubber extension tube can also be connected directly to the blower unit if preferred.
5.2 Inflator/Deflator Function Assembly
- For inflation, install the air nozzle onto the appropriate port for blowing air out.
- For deflation, install the air nozzle onto the appropriate port for drawing air in.
5.3 Vacuum Function Assembly
- Connect Vacuum Tube Connector A counter-clockwise to the flexible vacuum hose.
- Connect Vacuum Tube Connector B counter-clockwise to the other end of the flexible vacuum hose.
- Install Vacuum Tube Connector A to the blower unit's intake port.
- Attach the dust collection bag to the blower unit's exhaust port.
- If cleaning spacious areas, install Vacuum Nozzle D to Vacuum Tube Connector B.
- If cleaning narrow areas, install Vacuum Nozzle C to Vacuum Tube Connector B.

6. Operation
Before operating, ensure the tool is correctly assembled for the desired function and a charged Makita 18V battery is inserted.
6.1 Powering On/Off
- Insert a fully charged Makita 18V battery into the battery slot until it clicks into place.
- To start the tool, press and hold the trigger. The tool will continue to run after approximately 10 seconds of holding the trigger, indicating a lock-on feature.
- To turn off the tool, briefly press the trigger again.
6.2 Adjusting Speed
Use the 6-speed adjustment dial located on the tool to select the desired airflow speed. Speed 1 provides the lowest airflow (70 MPH), and Speed 6 provides the highest airflow (180 MPH).
6.3 Using the Blower Function
Direct the nozzle towards the area to be cleared. Use lower speeds for delicate areas and higher speeds for stubborn debris like wet leaves or larger accumulations.

6.4 Using the Vacuum Function
With the vacuum assembly attached, position the vacuum nozzle over the debris you wish to collect. The dust collection bag will capture the material. Empty the dust bag regularly for optimal performance.
6.5 Using the Inflator/Deflator Function
Attach the inflator/deflator nozzle to the appropriate port. For inflation, direct the nozzle into the item to be inflated. For deflation, connect the nozzle to the item to draw air out.
