Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Outdoor Transmitter: Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor transmitter. Insert 2x AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
  2. Main Unit: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert 3x AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment. Alternatively, connect the included power adapter to the main unit and a power outlet. The main unit can operate on batteries or adapter, but the adapter is recommended for continuous backlight.

2. Initial Synchronization

After inserting batteries into both units, the main unit will automatically search for the outdoor transmitter signal. This may take a few minutes. Ensure both units are within range of each other (maximum 100m in open space, less with obstacles).

3. Outdoor Sensor Placement

For accurate readings, place the outdoor transmitter in a sheltered location, away from direct sunlight and precipitation. Avoid placing it near metal objects or large electrical appliances that could interfere with the wireless signal. An ideal location is under an eave or on a north-facing wall.

Operating Instructions

Display Overview

The color display provides a comprehensive overview of weather data and time information:

  • IN: Indoor temperature and humidity.
  • OUT: Outdoor temperature and humidity (from wireless sensor).
  • FORECAST: 12-24 hour weather forecast with seasonal color icons.
  • TIME/DATE: Radio-controlled time, date, and weekday (adjustable in 6 languages).
  • MOON PHASE: Current moon phase display.
  • PRESSURE: Relative atmospheric pressure and 24-hour trend graph.
  • COMFORT INDICATOR: Smiley icon indicating indoor comfort level.

Button Functions

SET Enter settings mode, confirm settings.
CHANNEL Switch between multiple outdoor sensors (if connected), initiate manual sensor search.
ALARM Activate/deactivate alarm, enter alarm setting mode.
-/MIN Decrease value in settings, view minimum values.
MAX/+ Increase value in settings, view maximum values.

Setting Time, Date, and Language

  1. Press and hold the SET button to enter settings mode.
  2. Use -/MIN or MAX/+ to adjust values. Press SET to confirm and move to the next setting.
  3. Settings typically include time zone, 12/24 hour format, hour, minute, year, month, day, and weekday language (EN, DE, FR, ES, IT, NL).
  4. The radio-controlled clock will automatically set the time once a signal is received. Manual setting is for initial setup or if the signal is unavailable.

Setting Alarms

  1. Press and hold the ALARM button to enter alarm setting mode.
  2. Use -/MIN or MAX/+ to set the alarm time. Press ALARM to confirm.
  3. Press ALARM briefly to activate or deactivate the alarm. An alarm icon will appear on the display when active.
  4. When the alarm sounds, press any button (except ALARM) for snooze function, or press ALARM to stop it.

Adjusting Display Brightness

When the main unit is powered by the adapter, press the MAX/+ button repeatedly to cycle through 4 brightness levels or activate the automatic dimming function.

Viewing Max/Min Values

Press the MAX/+ button briefly to view the maximum recorded temperature and humidity values. Press -/MIN briefly to view the minimum recorded values. Press again to return to current readings.

Connecting Additional Sensors

The weather station supports up to three outdoor transmitters. To connect additional sensors (sold separately), place batteries in the new sensor, then press the CHANNEL button on the main unit to cycle through channels until an empty channel is displayed. The main unit will then search for the new sensor.

Maintenance

  • Clean the display and casing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Replace batteries in both the main unit and outdoor sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
  • Ensure the outdoor sensor remains in a sheltered location to prolong its lifespan and maintain accuracy.

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution
No outdoor temperature/humidity display.
  • Check batteries in the outdoor sensor.
  • Ensure the outdoor sensor is within range (max 100m, less with obstacles).
  • Press the CHANNEL button on the main unit to manually search for the sensor.
  • Relocate the outdoor sensor to reduce interference.
Incorrect time display.
  • Ensure the main unit is receiving the radio-controlled time signal. This may take several hours, especially during initial setup.
  • Check the time zone setting.
  • Relocate the main unit to a window or area with better signal reception.
Display is dim or blank.
  • If using batteries, the backlight is temporary. Connect the power adapter for continuous backlight.
  • Check main unit batteries or power adapter connection.
  • Adjust display brightness using the MAX/+ button.
