1. Product Overview
The Livguard LG700E is a 600 VA/12V square wave inverter designed to provide uninterrupted power supply for homes, offices, and shops. 2. Safety Instructions
- Read all instructions before operating the inverter.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the inverter to prevent overheating.
- Do not expose the inverter to rain, moisture, or direct sunlight.

- Always connect the battery with correct polarity (+ to + and - to -). Incorrect connection can damage the inverter and battery.

3. Product Components and Controls

Front Panel Indicators:
- Mains ON: Indicates when the inverter is receiving power from the utility grid.
- Charging: Indicates when the battery is being charged.
- UPS ON: Indicates the inverter is operating in UPS mode, providing power to connected appliances.
- Inverter ON/Overload/Short Circuit: Indicates inverter operation, or alerts to overload/short circuit conditions.
- Low Battery: Indicates the battery charge is low and requires recharging.
- Eco Mode: Indicates the inverter is operating in ECO mode.
- Power ON: Indicates the inverter is powered on.
- Power ON/OFF Switch: Main switch to turn the inverter on or off.
Rear Panel Connections:
- Mains Cord: Connects the inverter to the utility power outlet.
- Battery Terminal +VE (Red): Positive terminal for battery connection.

4. Setup Instructions
4.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully unpack the inverter and inspect for any shipping damage.
- Place the inverter in a well-ventilated, dry, and cool area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and flammable materials.
- Ensure there is sufficient space around the inverter for air circulation, especially around the cooling fan.
4.2 Battery Connection
Important: Ensure the inverter is OFF and disconnected from the mains power before connecting the battery.
- Connect the RED cable from the battery's positive (+) terminal to the Battery Terminal +VE (Red) on the inverter.
- Connect the BLACK cable from the battery's negative (-) terminal to the Battery Terminal -VE (Black) on the inverter.
- Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
4.3 Mains Power Connection
- Plug the inverter's Mains Cord into a grounded wall outlet.
- The 'Mains ON' indicator on the front panel should illuminate.
4.4 Appliance Connection
- Plug your appliances (e.g., lights, fans, computers) into the Output Socket on the rear panel of the inverter.
- Ensure the total load of connected appliances does not exceed the inverter's capacity (525W peak load for LG700E).
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
- To turn ON the inverter, press the Power ON/OFF Switch on the front panel. The 'Power ON' indicator will light up.
- To turn OFF the inverter, press the Power ON/OFF Switch again.
5.2 UPS/ECO Mode Selection
Use the UPS/ECO Mode Selection Switch on the rear panel to choose your desired operating mode:
- UPS Mode: Provides a stable output voltage, ideal for sensitive appliances like computers, laptops, and LED TVs. The transfer time from mains to battery is minimal.
- ECO Mode: Prioritizes energy saving by allowing a wider input voltage range. This mode is suitable for less sensitive appliances and helps conserve battery power.
5.3 Battery Type Selection
The Battery Type Selection Switch on the rear panel allows you to optimize charging for different battery types. Select the setting that matches your connected battery:
- Flat Plate
- Tubular
- SMF (Sealed Maintenance Free)
- LOCAL (for specific local battery types)
5.4 Charging Selection
The Charging Selection Switch allows you to adjust the charging current based on your battery's capacity (Ah rating). Refer to your battery's specifications for the recommended charging current.
5.5 Running Load Guidelines
The Livguard LG700E Inverter has a peak load capacity of 525W. Refer to the table below for typical appliance loads and compatibility. Always ensure the total load does not exceed the inverter's capacity.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the inverter's exterior with a dry cloth. Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and obstructions.
- Battery Care: For optimal battery life, ensure the battery is regularly charged. Avoid deep discharge cycles. Check battery water levels periodically for lead-acid batteries (if applicable).
- Ventilation: Always ensure the inverter is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating.
- Connections: Periodically check all cable connections for tightness and corrosion.
7. Troubleshooting
