Setup

1. Charging Batteries

  • Drone Battery: Connect the drone battery to the USB charging cable. Plug the cable into a 5V/3A USB power adapter (not included). Charging time is approximately 4.5 hours.
  • Remote Control Battery: Connect the remote control to the USB charging cable. Charging time is approximately 2 hours.
  • Ensure batteries are fully charged before each flight.

2. Unfolding the Drone

Carefully unfold the drone arms until they click into place. Ensure all arms are fully extended and locked.

3. Propeller Installation (if necessary)

If propellers are not pre-installed, attach them according to the markings (A and B) on the propellers and motor arms. Ensure they are securely fastened.

4. Remote Control Setup

Insert your mobile device into the remote control holder. Ensure the remote control is fully charged.

5. App Installation and Connection

Download the official SJRC F22s app from your mobile device's app store (iOS 9.0 or later / Android 5.0 or later). Follow the in-app instructions to connect your drone to the app via Wi-Fi.

Operating Instructions

Pre-Flight Checklist

  • Drone and remote control batteries are fully charged.
  • Propellers are securely attached and undamaged.
  • Drone arms are fully unfolded and locked.
  • Flight environment is safe and clear of obstacles.
  • GPS signal is strong (indicated by the app).

Takeoff and Landing

  1. Place the drone on a flat, open surface.
  2. Power on the drone, then the remote control.
  3. Calibrate the drone as per app instructions (compass, gyroscope).
  4. Wait for sufficient GPS satellites to be acquired (usually 7+).
  5. Use the one-key takeoff button on the remote or in the app, or manually initiate takeoff using the control sticks.
  6. For landing, use the one-key landing button or gently lower the drone using the control sticks.

Intelligent Flight Modes

  • GPS Intelligent Following: The drone will automatically follow your GPS-enabled mobile device.
  • Image Following: Identify an object in the app, and the drone will automatically follow its movement.
  • Gesture Shooting and Recognition: Within 1-3 meters of the aircraft, make specific hand gestures for photo or video capture.
  • Multi-point Route Planning Flight: Plan a flight path by setting multiple waypoints on the map in the app. The drone will fly autonomously along the preset route.
  • Fixed Point Surround: Select a central point on the map, and the drone will orbit around it at a specified radius.
  • Aircraft Retrieval Function: If the drone loses signal or is lost, click the GPS signal icon three consecutive times in the app to open the map interface, which will show the last known distance and location of the aircraft.

Maintenance
