1. Important Safety Instructions

- Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.
- The carafe is designed for use with this appliance. It must never be used on a range top.
- Do not place a hot carafe on a wet or cold surface.
- Do not use a cracked carafe or a carafe having a loose or weakened handle.
- Do not clean carafe with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive material.
2. Product Components

- Main Unit: The primary body of the coffee maker, housing the heating element, water reservoir, and control panel.
- 1.8L Capacity Glass Carafe: The glass pot designed to collect brewed coffee, with clear measurement markings up to 12 cups.
- Permanent Filter: A reusable filter basket that eliminates the need for disposable paper filters, making it eco-friendly and easy to clean.
- Detachable Funnel: The component that holds the permanent filter, designed for easy removal and cleaning.

3. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Homtone Coffee Maker for the first time.

- Unpacking: Carefully remove the coffee maker and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the carafe, permanent filter, and detachable funnel in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
- First Brew Cycle (Cleaning):
- Fill the water reservoir to the "12 MAX" line with clean water.
- Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
- Press the "CLEAN" button on the control panel. The "CLEAN" indicator will flash.
- Press the "BREW/AUTO OFF" button to start the cleaning cycle.
- Allow the cycle to complete. Discard the water from the carafe. This process helps to clean the internal components and remove any manufacturing residues.
- Placement: Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.
4. Operating Instructions
Brewing your perfect cup of coffee is simple with the Homtone Coffee Maker.

- Fill Water Reservoir: Open the top lid and pour fresh, cold water into the water reservoir using the carafe. The visible water tank on the side indicates the water level up to 1.8L (12 cups).
- Add Coffee Grounds: Place the detachable funnel into its position, then insert the permanent filter. Add your desired amount of ground coffee into the permanent filter. A general guideline is one level scoop (provided) per cup, but adjust to your taste.
- Place Carafe: Ensure the glass carafe is properly placed on the warming plate.
- Start Brewing: Press the "BREW/AUTO OFF" button. The coffee maker will begin the brewing process. The LCD screen will display the current time and brewing status.
- Enjoy Your Coffee: Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch to the keep-warm function. You can remove the carafe to pour coffee at any time; the anti-drip design prevents leakage.
5. Advanced Features
5.1 Brew Strength Control (Aroma Selection)
Customize your coffee's strength from subtle to bold.

To select your desired brew strength, short press the "AROMA" button before starting the brew cycle. This feature adjusts the brewing process to extract more flavor, ensuring every cup is tailored to your taste preferences.
5.2 24-Hour Programmable Brew
Set your coffee to brew automatically at a specific time.

- First, set the current time using the "HR" and "MIN" buttons.
- Press the "PROG" button. The "PROG" indicator will flash.
- Use the "HR" and "MIN" buttons to set your desired brew start time.
- Press "PROG" again to confirm the preset time. The "PROG" indicator will remain lit, indicating the programmable brew is set.
5.3 Keep-Warm Settings (3 Heat Settings & 4H Keep Warm)
Maintain your coffee at the perfect temperature for longer.

The Homtone Coffee Maker offers three temperature preservation modes: Low, Medium, and High. To adjust the keep-warm temperature, long press the "CARAFE TEMP" button. The "AUTO OFF" indicator will flash. Short press "CARAFE TEMP" repeatedly to cycle through Low, Medium, and High settings. The warming time is adjustable between 0-4 hours.
5.4 Mute Function
To silence the button beep sounds, long press the "AROMA" button. This will toggle the mute function on or off.
6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your coffee maker.

- Daily Cleaning:
- After each use, unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool.
- Remove the permanent filter and detachable funnel. Discard used coffee grounds.
- Wash the carafe, permanent filter, and detachable funnel in warm, soapy water. These parts are also top-rack dishwasher safe.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Auto-Cleaning (Descaling): Over time, mineral deposits can build up in your coffee maker, affecting performance.
- Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts cold water.
- Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
- Press the "CLEAN" button. The "CLEAN" indicator will flash.
- Press "BREW/AUTO OFF" to start the descaling cycle.
- After the cycle completes, discard the vinegar solution. Run 2-3 cycles with fresh, cold water to rinse thoroughly and remove any residual vinegar taste.
- Anti-Drip Design: The real anti-drip design helps prevent coffee from leaking when the carafe is removed during brewing. A special design on the inside of the lid blocks the flow of steam and water to the outside of the coffee machine, ensuring a cleaner countertop.
7. Troubleshooting
