Important Note: Due to HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) copyright restrictions, certain streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime Video, and others may not allow mirroring from iOS devices. 6.4. Mirror Mode vs. Extend Mode
The dongle supports both Mirror and Extend modes:
- Mirror Mode: Duplicates your device's screen onto the large display. Ideal for presentations or sharing content directly.
- Extend Mode: Uses the large display as a secondary monitor, allowing you to have different content on each screen. This is useful for multitasking, such as watching a video on the TV while browsing on your phone.

7. Troubleshooting
No Display/Black Screen:
- Ensure the dongle is properly connected to the HDMI port and receiving sufficient power (5V/1A).
- Verify that your display device is set to the correct HDMI input source.
- Try connecting the dongle to a different HDMI port or a different display device to rule out port/display issues.
Connection Issues/Frequent Disconnections:
- Ensure the dongle's external antenna is positioned for optimal signal reception.
- Reduce the distance between your device and the dongle.
- Minimize interference from other Wi-Fi devices or electronic equipment.
- Ensure the dongle is receiving stable power.
Lag or Poor Video Quality:
- Check your Wi-Fi signal strength. A strong, stable Wi-Fi connection is crucial for smooth streaming.
- Ensure your device is not running too many background applications.
- For Google Pixel phones, consider performing an online chip upgrade as recommended in the features section.
Cannot Mirror Certain Apps (iOS):
- This is typically due to HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) restrictions imposed by content providers (e.g., Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video). The dongle cannot bypass these restrictions.
- Try mirroring content from non-HDCP protected sources or use an Android/Windows device for full content casting.
8. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your DARLYOR Wireless HDMI Display Dongle Adapter, please follow these maintenance guidelines:

- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
