Setup and Installation
Unpacking
Carefully remove the microwave oven from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, including the turntable and turntable ring. Inspect the oven for any damage, such as dents or a misaligned door. Do not operate the oven if it is damaged.
Placement
Place the microwave oven on a flat, stable surface that can support its weight and the heaviest food item likely to be cooked in it. Ensure adequate ventilation by leaving at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space around the sides, top, and rear of the oven for proper airflow.

Electrical Requirements
The microwave oven requires a standard 120V AC, 60Hz electrical outlet with a dedicated circuit. Do not use extension cords or adapters.
Turntable Installation
Place the turntable ring in the center of the oven cavity. Then, place the glass turntable securely on top of the turntable ring, ensuring it sits properly on the center hub.
Operating Instructions
Your Farberware microwave oven features an intuitive control panel designed for ease of use. Below are the primary functions:

Setting Cook Time and Power Level
- Press the Time Cook button.
- Enter the desired cooking time using the number pad.
- Press the Power button.
- Enter the desired power level (1-10, where 10 is 100% power).
- Press the Start/+30Sec. button to begin cooking.
Auto Cook Settings
The microwave includes 6 one-touch auto cook programs for common food items:
- Popcorn: For popping popcorn.
- Potato: For baking potatoes.
- Pizza: For reheating pizza.
- Frozen Vegetable: For cooking frozen vegetables.
- Beverage: For heating beverages.
- Dinner Plate: For reheating a dinner plate.
To use, simply press the corresponding button for the desired food item. The oven will automatically set the optimal cooking time and power level.
Defrost Settings
Choose between Time Defrost or Weight Defrost:
- Time Defrost: Press Time Defrost, enter the desired defrosting time, then press Start/+30Sec.
- Weight Defrost: Press Weight Defrost, enter the weight of the food in ounces, then press Start/+30Sec.
Express Cook
For quick cooking, press any number from 1 to 6 on the keypad. The oven will immediately start cooking for that many minutes at 100% power.
Add 30 Seconds
During cooking, press the Start/+30Sec. button to add 30 seconds to the current cooking time.
Clock and Kitchen Timer
- Clock: Press the Clock button, enter the current time, then press Clock again to set.
- Kitchen Timer: Press the Kitchen Timer button, enter the desired time, then press Start/+30Sec. The timer will count down without activating the microwave function.
Child Safety Lock
To activate the child safety lock, press and hold the STOP/Cancel button for 3 seconds. The lock indicator will appear on the display. To deactivate, press and hold the STOP/Cancel button again for 3 seconds.

Exterior Cleaning

Interior Cleaning
