3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

• Remove all packaging materials, including foam and adhesive tape.
• Inspect the refrigerator for any shipping damage. Report any damage to your retailer immediately.
• Keep packaging materials out of reach of children.

3.2 Placement

• Place the refrigerator on a firm, level surface that can support its weight when fully loaded.
• Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance. Allow at least 10 cm (4 inches) of space at the back and sides, and 30 cm (12 inches) at the top for proper air circulation.
• Avoid placing the refrigerator in direct sunlight or near heat sources such as stoves, heaters, or radiators.
• Do not install the appliance in areas where the temperature is likely to fall below 10°C (50°F) or rise above 38°C (100°F).

3.3 Leveling

• The refrigerator must be level for proper operation and door alignment.
• Adjust the leveling feet located at the front bottom of the appliance by turning them clockwise to raise or counter-clockwise to lower.
• Use a spirit level to ensure the appliance is perfectly level.

3.4 Power Connection

• Before plugging in, allow the refrigerator to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
• Plug the appliance into a dedicated, grounded 240V AC electrical outlet.
• Do not connect to an outlet controlled by a wall switch or pull cord.

3.5 Initial Operation

• After plugging in, set the temperature control to the recommended setting (usually medium).

4.1 Temperature Control

• The temperature control dial is typically located inside the refrigerator compartment.
• Turn the dial to adjust the cooling intensity. Higher numbers usually indicate colder temperatures.
• Start with a medium setting and adjust as needed based on ambient temperature and food load.
• Avoid setting the temperature too low unnecessarily, as this consumes more energy.

4.2 Food Storage Guidelines

• Refrigerator Compartment (168 Liters): Ideal for fresh foods, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, and beverages.
• Freezer Compartment (37 Liters): Suitable for storing frozen foods, ice cubes, and items requiring long-term preservation.
• Crisper Drawer: Use the humidity control slider (refer to Figure 2.3) to adjust moisture levels for fruits or vegetables. Slide towards "Fruits" for lower humidity and "Vegetables" for higher humidity.
• Ensure food items are properly sealed to prevent odor transfer and maintain freshness.
• Do not place hot food directly into the refrigerator; allow it to cool down first.

4.3 Defrosting

This refrigerator features Defrost technology, which helps to limit frost formation. However, manual defrosting of the freezer compartment may still be required periodically if excessive ice builds up.

• When the ice layer in the freezer compartment reaches a thickness of about 5mm, it is recommended to defrost.
• Unplug the refrigerator from the power outlet.
• Remove all food items from the freezer and place them in a cooler or another cold storage area.
• Leave the freezer door open to allow the ice to melt naturally. Place towels at the bottom to absorb water.
• Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to remove ice, as this can damage the appliance.
• Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly before plugging the refrigerator back in and returning food.

5.1 Cleaning the Interior

• Always unplug the refrigerator before cleaning.
• Wash the interior surfaces with a solution of mild detergent and warm water.
• Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
• Removable shelves and drawers can be washed separately with mild soap and water. Ensure they are completely dry before returning them to the refrigerator.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as they can damage surfaces.

5.2 Cleaning the Exterior

• Clean the exterior with a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent and water.
• For the grey finish, use a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for appliance exteriors if necessary.
• Wipe door gaskets regularly to ensure a tight seal.

5.3 Cleaning the Condenser Coils

• Periodically clean the condenser coils located at the back of the refrigerator (refer to Figure 2.4).
• Dust and debris on the coils can reduce cooling efficiency. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner attachment to gently remove buildup.
• Ensure the refrigerator is unplugged before cleaning the coils.
