- Tool Use and Care: Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.

6.3 Grinding Techniques
- Always use the tool rest to support the workpiece.
- Apply light, even pressure to the workpiece against the grinding wheel. Avoid excessive force, which can damage the wheel or motor.
- Move the workpiece across the face of the wheel to ensure even wear.
- For sharpening, maintain a consistent angle against the wheel.
- Do not grind on the side of the wheel, as this can cause the wheel to break.
- Allow the workpiece to cool periodically to prevent overheating.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your bench grinder. Always disconnect the power plug before performing any maintenance.
7.1 Cleaning
- Keep the grinder clean and free of dust and debris. Use a soft brush or compressed air to clean the motor vents.
- Wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
7.2 Grinding Wheel Replacement
Replace grinding wheels when they become worn, chipped, or damaged.
- Disconnect the grinder from the power supply.
- Remove the wheel guard and any associated hardware (eye shield, tool rest).
- Hold the opposite wheel to prevent rotation, then use a wrench to loosen the nut holding the wheel. Note that one side may have a left-hand thread.
- Remove the old wheel, flanges, and spacers.
- Install the new wheel, ensuring it is the correct size and type for your grinder. Place the flanges and spacers back in the correct order.
- Tighten the nut securely, but do not overtighten.
- Reassemble the wheel guard, eye shield, and tool rest.
- Before use, perform a test run for a minute to ensure the wheel runs smoothly without wobble.
7.3 Wheel Dressing
Over time, grinding wheels can become glazed or out of round. Use a wheel dresser (sold separately) to restore the wheel's cutting surface and shape.
