1. Product Overview

2. Setup Guide

2.1 What's in the Box

Your TXQ K300 package includes the following items:

  • K300 Radio Host
  • Lithium Ion Battery
  • Antenna
  • Back Clip
  • Lanyard
  • Charger (USB-C cable and wall adapter)
  • SIM Card (pre-installed in some models)

2.2 SIM Card & Battery Installation

The SIM card is often pre-inserted for convenience. If not, or if you need to replace it, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the battery cover by pressing and holding the bottom button and sliding it downward.
  2. Locate the SIM card slot(s). Insert the provided SIM card into the designated slot.
  3. Insert the Lithium Ion battery into the compartment.
  4. Push the battery upward to lock it in place.
  5. Reattach the battery cover by sliding it upward until it clicks securely.

2.3 Antenna Installation

Screw the provided antenna clockwise onto the top connector of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

2.4 Charging the Radio

Connect the USB-C charging cable to the Type-C port on the side of the radio and plug the adapter into a power outlet. The radio will indicate charging status on its screen.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off

To power on or off the device, press and hold the red button located on the front panel until the screen activates or deactivates.

3.2 Initial Login & Group Join

After powering on, the device will display a QR code and attempt to log in. Please wait for approximately one minute. The radio will automatically join its pre-assigned group and be ready for use.

3.3 Basic Communication (Push-to-Talk)

To communicate, press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to end your transmission and listen for a response.

3.4 Volume Adjustment

Use the side buttons (up/down arrows) to adjust the volume level of the radio's speaker.

3.5 Menu Navigation & Flashlight

The green button on the front panel is used for entering the menu. The red button serves as the return key. Press the red button once to lock or unlock the screen. To activate the flashlight, press and hold the volume down button.

3.6 Group & Member Calls

The K300 supports both individual and group communication. Once logged in, you will be part of a group. You can select different groups or members through the menu options. The system allows for flexible communication within your team.

3.7 GPS Functionality

The integrated GPS allows for location tracking of the radio. This feature is managed through the associated platform, enabling efficient team coordination and monitoring.

3.8 Headset Usage

The radio is compatible with PTT headsets that plug into the Type-C charging port. This allows for hands-free communication, with audio directed to the earpiece and voice input via the headset's microphone.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

Wipe the radio's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure all ports are closed when cleaning to maintain water resistance.

4.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the radio using only the provided charger. Store the radio in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

4.3 Storage

Store the radio in a dry environment, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. If storing for a long time, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) and remove it from the device if possible.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 No Signal / Connectivity Issues

  • Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and activated.
  • Check if you are within 4G LTE network coverage.
  • Restart the radio by powering it off and then on again.
  • Verify that the antenna is securely attached.

5.2 Audio Problems (No Sound / Distorted Audio)

  • Adjust the volume using the side buttons.
  • Ensure the speaker is not obstructed.
  • If using a headset, ensure it is properly connected and functioning.
  • Check for any physical damage to the speaker or microphone.

5.3 Battery Not Charging

  • Ensure the charging cable and adapter are securely connected to both the radio and the power outlet.
  • Verify that the power outlet is functional.
  • Try using a different compatible USB-C cable and adapter.
  • Check for any debris or damage in the charging port.
