Installation Guide

Before You Begin

  • Ensure the door and handle surface are clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, or debris. Use a mild cleaner if necessary, and allow to dry completely.
  • Test the placement of the lock on your door handle before removing the adhesive backing to ensure proper fit and function.

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Clean the door surface thoroughly around the lever handle where the lock will be placed.
  2. Position the lock unit on the door, ensuring the movable arm aligns correctly to block the lever handle from being pushed down.
  3. Once the desired placement is confirmed, carefully mark the area with a pencil if needed.
  4. Remove the protective film from the adhesive backing on the lock unit.
  5. Firmly press the lock onto the marked area on the door for at least 30 seconds to ensure strong adhesion.
  6. Allow the adhesive to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before first use for optimal bond strength.

Operating the Lock

Engaging the Lock

To engage the lock and prevent the door handle from being operated, simply flip the white lever arm down over the door handle. Ensure the arm fully covers the handle, preventing it from being pushed down.

Disengaging the Lock

To disengage the lock and allow normal operation of the door handle, flip the white lever arm up and away from the door handle. This will free the handle, allowing it to be pushed down and the door to open.

Care and Maintenance

  • Clean the lock periodically with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the product or weaken the adhesive.
  • Regularly inspect the adhesive bond to ensure it remains strong and secure. If the adhesive begins to loosen, the lock may need to be re-secured or replaced.
  • Ensure no debris or foreign objects obstruct the movable lever arm, which could impair its function.
