1. Product Overview

The Xiaomi Mijia 2 Portable Air Pump is a compact, battery-powered device designed for inflating various items such as car tires, bicycle tires, and sports balls. It features a high-precision sensor, multiple preset inflation modes, and an auto-shutoff function for convenient and accurate inflation.

3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Air Pump

Before first use, fully charge the air pump. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the pump's charging port and a compatible 5V=2A power adapter (not included). The charging time is approximately 3 hours.

3.2 Attaching the Air Hose and Nozzle

1. Pull out the high-pressure gas pipe from the top of the pump.
2. Select the appropriate nozzle adapter (American, French, or Quick Connect) for your item.
3. Screw the selected nozzle adapter onto the end of the gas pipe.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

To power on the device, pull out the air hose. To power off, push the air hose back into its slot. The device will also automatically shut off after a period of inactivity.

4.2 Selecting Inflation Mode

The pump offers six preset inflation modes. Press the mode button (usually indicated by a circular arrow or 'M') to cycle through the modes:

• Manual Mode: Default 35psi, adjustable range 3-150psi / 0.2-10.3bar.
• Bicycle Mode: Default 45psi, adjustable range 30-65psi.
• Motorcycle Mode: Default 2.4bar, adjustable range 1.8-3.0bar.
• Car Mode: Default 2.5bar, adjustable range 1.8-3.5bar.
• Ball Mode: Default 8psi, adjustable range 4-16psi.
• Electric Scooters Mode: Default 50psi, adjustable range 45-60psi.

4.3 Setting Target Pressure

Once a mode is selected, use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the target pressure. The real-time pressure will be displayed on the screen.

4.4 Starting and Stopping Inflation

Connect the nozzle to the item you wish to inflate. Press the central button (usually the power button) to start inflation. The pump will automatically stop when the preset pressure is reached. To manually stop inflation, press the central button again.

4.5 Inflation Capacity Examples

The pump can inflate various items multiple times on a full charge:

• Car tire (205/55 R16): Approx. 2 tires (from 2.0bar to 2.5bar)
• Motorbike tire (110/70 R17): Approx. 7 tires (from 0bar to 2.4bar)
• Bike tire (700x23C): Approx. 10 tires (from 0psi to 120psi)
• Balance Bike Tire (70/65-6.5): Approx. 55 tires (from 0psi to 30psi)
• Electric Scooter Tire (8 1/2x2): Approx. 69 tires (from 0psi to 40psi)
• Basketball (0-8psi): Approx. 40 balls

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the pump with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the device is dry before storage.

5.2 Storage

Store the air pump in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The recommended storage temperature is -10℃ to 45℃. Ensure the air hose is properly stowed to prevent damage.

5.3 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for an extended period, charge the pump to approximately 50% every few months.

6. Troubleshooting

• Pump not turning on: Ensure the air hose is fully pulled out. Check battery level and charge if necessary.
• Pump not inflating: Ensure the nozzle is securely connected to the item and the air hose is properly attached to the pump. Check if the target pressure is set correctly and is higher than the current pressure.
• Inaccurate pressure reading: The sensor accuracy is ±1psi. If readings seem significantly off, ensure the nozzle is tightly sealed to the valve.
• Slow inflation: Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. High-pressure items naturally take longer to inflate.
• Excessive noise: A working noise below 80dB (at 1m distance) is normal. If the noise is unusually loud or accompanied by strange sounds, discontinue use and contact support.
