1. Introduction

4. Setup and Installation

The OSVO Portable Compact Dryer offers flexible installation options:

  • Freestanding: Place the dryer on a stable, level surface. Ensure adequate space around the unit for ventilation.
  • Stacking: The dryer can be placed on top of a compatible washing machine. Ensure the washer is stable and can support the dryer's weight (approximately 38.5 lbs).
  • Wall Mounting: For wall mounting, use a sturdy wall mount kit (not included) and ensure the wall can support the dryer's weight. Follow the wall mount kit's instructions carefully.

Electrical Connection:

Connect the dryer to a dedicated 120V, 60Hz, 1000W grounded electrical outlet. Do not share the outlet with other high-power appliances. Ensure the power cord is not pinched or damaged.

5. Operating Instructions

Operating your OSVO dryer is straightforward with its rotary control button.

  1. Prepare Laundry: Ensure clothes are thoroughly spun in a washing machine to remove excess water. Unload clothes and shake them out to prevent tangling.
  2. Load Dryer: Open the dryer door and load clothes into the stainless steel inner tub. Do not exceed the recommended load capacity of 5 lbs for quick drying, or 8.8 lbs maximum for wet clothes. Overloading can reduce drying efficiency and damage the dryer.
  3. Close Door: Firmly close the dryer door until it latches securely.
  4. Select Drying Mode: Use the rotary control button on the operating panel to select your desired drying mode. Common modes may include:
    • Standard Dry: For everyday cottons and mixed fabrics.
    • Delicate/Gentle Dry: For sensitive fabrics requiring lower heat.
    • Air Dry/Odor Purification: For refreshing clothes without heat, removing odors.
    • High Heat/Sanitize: For items requiring high-temperature drying and disinfection.
  5. Start Cycle: Once the mode is selected, the dryer will begin operation.
  6. End of Cycle: The dryer will automatically stop when the cycle is complete. Carefully open the door and remove dried clothes.
  7. Clean Lint Filter: Always clean the lint filter after each use (refer to Maintenance section).

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dryer.

6.1. Cleaning the Lint Filter

The lint filter is located inside the dryer drum, near the door opening. It is crucial to clean this filter before or after every load.

  1. Open the dryer door.
  2. Locate the lint filter (refer to Figure 3.3 for location of Air Intake Strainer).
  3. Remove the filter by pulling it out.
  4. Peel off any accumulated lint from the filter screen.
  5. Rinse the filter under running water if necessary, and allow it to dry completely before reinserting.
  6. Reinsert the clean filter firmly into its slot.

6.2. Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior surfaces of the dryer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

6.3. Cleaning the Inner Drum

Occasionally, wipe the inside of the stainless steel drum with a damp cloth to remove any residue. For stubborn stains, a mild non-abrasive cleaner can be used, followed by wiping with a clean, damp cloth.
