Charging the Radio
The NEPIVEL H17 offers three methods to ensure your radio is always powered:

1. Type-C Cable Charging
- Connect the provided Type-C USB cable to the radio's Type-C charging port.
- Plug the other end into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge typically takes about 3.5 hours.
2. Hand Crank Charging
- Unfold the hand crank handle located on the back of the radio.
- Rotate the hand crank clockwise or counter-clockwise at a steady pace (approximately 130-150 RPM) for 3-5 minutes to generate sufficient power for short-term use.
- Continuous cranking can provide power during extended outages. Approximately 60 hours of cranking is needed for a full charge from empty.
3. Solar Panel Charging
- Place the radio in direct sunlight. Ensure the solar panels are facing upwards and are unobstructed.
- The solar panels will convert sunlight into power, indicated by the charging indicator light.
- Solar charging is primarily for maintaining battery life or for emergency top-ups, not for rapid full charging. A full charge via solar can take approximately 150 hours in optimal sunlight conditions.
Battery Level Display: The LED display shows the remaining power in four levels: 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%.
Operating the Radio
Power On/Off
- Press the Power Switch to turn the radio on or off.
Selecting Radio Bands (AM/FM/NOAA)
- Extend the Radio Antenna for optimal reception.
- Press the AM/FM/NOAA Switch Button to cycle through AM, FM, and NOAA weather bands. The selected band will be displayed on the screen.
Automatic Frequency Search
- While in AM, FM, or NOAA mode, press and hold the Switching Channel Button (V+ or V-) for a few seconds. The radio will automatically scan for available frequencies and stop at the next strong signal.
- The radio can store searched frequencies. After the search is complete, you can use the Switching Channel Buttons (V+/V-) to navigate between stored stations, skipping frequencies with no signal.
Manual Tuning and Volume Control
- Briefly press the Switching Channel Buttons (V+/V-) to fine-tune the frequency step-by-step.
- Use the Volume Adjustment Buttons (Vol+/Vol-) to increase or decrease the audio volume.
Headphone Use
