Setup
1. Battery Installation
The HL32R-T headlamp is compatible with the included Fenix ARB-LP1900 rechargeable battery pack or three AAA batteries.
- Fenix ARB-LP1900: Open the battery compartment cover. Insert the ARB-LP1900 battery with the positive (+) terminal facing the headlamp's head. Close the cover securely.
- AAA Batteries: If using AAA batteries, ensure they are inserted with correct polarity as indicated inside the battery compartment. Lithium rechargeable AAAs are recommended for optimal performance.
2. Charging the ARB-LP1900 Battery
To charge the Fenix ARB-LP1900 battery:
- Locate the USB Type-C charging port on the headlamp.
- Connect the included USB Type-C charging cable to the headlamp's port.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
- The charging indicator will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 3 hours.
Note: The headlamp cannot be used while charging.
3. Headband Adjustment
The SPORT headband features a tightening system for a secure and comfortable fit. Adjust the headband to fit snugly around your head or over a hat. The reflective material enhances visibility.
Operating Instructions
The HL32R-T features a dual switch design, with separate buttons for spotlight and floodlight modes.
1. Power On/Off
- To Turn On: Press and hold either the spotlight switch or the floodlight switch for 0.5 seconds.
- To Turn Off: Press and hold either the spotlight switch or the floodlight switch for 0.5 seconds. The headlamp will turn off from any mode.
2. Mode Switching and Brightness Levels
With the headlamp on, single-click the corresponding switch to cycle through brightness levels within that mode.

- Spotlight Modes: High (800 Lumens), Med (200 Lumens), Low (80 Lumens).
- Floodlight Modes: High (200 Lumens), Med (70 Lumens), Low (5 Lumens), SOS (5 Lumens).
Note: The headlamp has mode memory and will recall the last used brightness level when turned on, except for SOS mode.
3. Lockout Function
To prevent accidental activation during transport or storage:
- Lock: With the headlamp off, press and hold either switch for 3 seconds, or simultaneously press both switches for 3 seconds. The headlamp will flash twice to indicate it is locked.
- Unlock: Simultaneously press both switches for 3 seconds. The headlamp will flash twice and then activate in the last used mode.

4. Smart Stride Sensor
The HL32R-T features a smart stride sensor that detects your running speed and automatically adjusts the brightness accordingly to optimize illumination and battery life. This feature is active in certain modes and adjusts dynamically.

1. Cleaning
- Clean the headlamp body with a soft cloth.
- If the headlamp comes into contact with saltwater or mud, rinse it with fresh water and dry thoroughly.
