1. Introduction

The LINGDU D100 Dash Cam is designed to provide high-quality video recording for your vehicle, enhancing safety and providing crucial evidence in case of incidents. This manual will guide you through the installation, operation, and maintenance of your dash cam.

4. Setup and Installation

1. Prepare the Windshield: Clean and dry the area on your windshield where you intend to mount the dash cam. Ensure it does not obstruct your view.
2. Apply Electrostatic Film: Place one of the provided electrostatic films on the cleaned area of the windshield. This protects your windshield from direct adhesive.
3. Mount the Dash Cam: Attach the dash cam's adhesive mount to the electrostatic film. The camera's lens is rotatable, allowing you to adjust the recording angle after mounting.
4. Insert MicroSD Card: Gently push a Class 10 or above MicroSD card (up to 256GB) into the designated slot until it clicks into place.
5. Connect Power: Plug the Type-C car charger cable into the dash cam and then into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.
6. Hide Wires: Use the provided pry tool and cable clips to neatly tuck the power cable along the edge of the windshield and dashboard, leading it to the cigarette lighter.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on. It will power off automatically when the ignition is turned off.

5.2 Voice Control

The LINGDU D100 supports several voice commands for hands-free operation. Speak clearly and directly to the dash cam:

• "Turn on WiFi" / "Turn off WiFi"
• "Take Picture"
• "Lock the Video"
• "Open Recording" / "Turn off Recording"
• "Open Screen" / "Turn off Display"

5.3 Loop Recording

The dash cam records video continuously in segments (e.g., 1, 2, or 3 minutes). When the memory card is full, the oldest unprotected video files will be automatically overwritten by new recordings. Emergency videos locked by the G-Sensor are protected from being overwritten.

5.4 G-Sensor

The built-in G-Sensor detects sudden impacts or vibrations. In the event of a collision, it automatically locks the current video segment (typically 1 minute) into an emergency folder, preventing it from being overwritten. These files serve as crucial evidence.

6. App Usage (LINGDU DashCam Global)

Download the "LINGDU DashCam Global" app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to access advanced features and settings.

1. Connect via WiFi: Enable WiFi on your smartphone and connect to the dash cam's WiFi network (SSID and password can be found in the manual or app settings).
2. Live Video Preview: View real-time footage from the dash cam on your smartphone screen.
3. Playback and Download: Access recorded videos, play them back, and download important clips directly to your phone.
4. Share Videos: Easily share downloaded videos to social media platforms or other applications.
5. Adjust Settings: Customize various dash cam settings through the app, including:
   • Video Resolution (2560x1440P or 1920x1080P)
   • Loop Recording duration (1, 2, or 3 minutes)
   • WDR (Wide Dynamic Range)
   • Exposure, Audio Recording, G-Sensor sensitivity
   • Parking Mode settings
   • Voice Control and Voice Command options
   • Date/Time Format, Speed Unit, GPS Information display
   • Time Zone, Synchronized Time, SD Card Information, Format SD Card

7. Parking Modes

The LINGDU D100 offers three parking modes to monitor your vehicle when parked. A hardwire kit (not included) is necessary to enable 24-hour parking modes.

• Collision Detection Parking Mode: The dash cam detects impacts and automatically records and locks emergency video.
• Time-lapse Parking Mode: Records video continuously at a low frame rate over 24 hours, conserving storage space.
• Normal Recording Parking Mode: Provides continuous recording throughout the day while parked.

8. Maintenance

• SD Card Formatting: Regularly format your MicroSD card (at least once a month) through the app settings to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
• Lens Cleaning: Keep the dash cam lens clean using a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video recordings.
• Firmware Updates: Check the LINGDU app periodically for firmware updates to ensure your dash cam has the latest features and bug fixes.

9. Troubleshooting

• Dash Cam Not Powering On/Off Automatically:
  • Ensure the car charger is securely plugged into both the dash cam and the vehicle's cigarette lighter.
  • Verify that the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket is receiving power when the ignition is on.
  • Check the power cable for any damage or loose connections.
• Recording Stops or Freezes:
  • Format the MicroSD card regularly.
  • Ensure you are using a high-quality (Class 10 or above) MicroSD card.
  • Check if the MicroSD card is full; enable loop recording or replace with a larger capacity card.
• WiFi Connection Issues:
  • Ensure WiFi is enabled on the dash cam (can be toggled via voice command or app settings).
  • Verify that your smartphone is within range of the dash cam's WiFi network.
  • Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone.
• Voice Commands Not Responding:
  • Speak clearly and directly towards the dash cam.
  • Ensure the vehicle's interior is not excessively noisy.
  • Check app settings to confirm voice control is enabled.
