Before First Use

  1. Unpack the roaster oven and all its components. Remove any packaging materials, stickers, or labels.
  2. Wash the removable roasting pan and roasting rack in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The main housing should be wiped with a damp cloth.
  3. Place the roaster oven on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from walls and other appliances to allow for proper ventilation.
  4. It is recommended to operate the empty roaster oven for approximately 30 minutes at 350°F (175°C) before first use to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal. Ensure adequate ventilation during this process.
  5. Allow the unit to cool completely before cleaning again.

Setup

  1. Ensure the roaster oven is unplugged.
  2. Place the removable roasting pan inside the main housing.
  3. Insert the liftable roasting rack into the roasting pan.
  4. Place the food to be cooked onto the roasting rack.
  5. Cover the roaster oven with the self-basting lid.

Operating Instructions

General Roasting/Baking

  1. Prepare your food and place it on the roasting rack inside the roasting pan.
  2. Place the lid securely on the roaster.
  3. Turn the temperature control knob to the desired temperature setting (150-450°F). The indicator light will illuminate.
  4. Preheat the roaster oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the indicator light turns off, signaling that the set temperature has been reached. The light will cycle on and off during cooking to maintain the temperature.
  5. Cook for the recommended time, referring to your recipe or a reliable cooking guide. The self-basting lid helps maintain moisture, reducing the need for frequent basting.
  6. When cooking is complete, turn the temperature control knob to "OFF" and unplug the unit.
  7. Use oven mitts to carefully remove the lid. Use the handles on the roasting rack to lift out the food.

Defrost Function

The Defrost setting allows you to thaw frozen items, such as a turkey, before roasting. This function operates at a lower, controlled temperature to safely defrost food.

  1. Place the frozen item on the roasting rack within the roasting pan.
  2. Cover with the lid.
  3. Turn the temperature control knob to the "DEFROST" setting.
  4. Monitor the defrosting process. Once thawed, proceed with cooking or refrigerate immediately.

Keep Warm Function

The Keep Warm setting is designed to maintain food at an ideal serving temperature after cooking, without further cooking or drying it out.

  1. After cooking is complete, turn the temperature control knob to the "KEEP WARM" setting.
  2. Ensure the lid remains on the roaster to retain heat and moisture.
  3. Do not leave food on the "KEEP WARM" setting for extended periods (more than 2-4 hours) to ensure food safety.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your roaster oven.

  1. Always unplug the roaster oven from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove the roasting pan and roasting rack. These can be washed by hand in warm, soapy water or placed in a dishwasher. For stubborn food residues, soak the pan and rack in hot soapy water before cleaning.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the main housing with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main housing in water or any other liquid.
  4. The self-basting lid can be washed by hand in warm, soapy water.
  5. Ensure all parts are thoroughly dried before reassembling or storing the appliance.
  6. Store the roaster oven in a cool, dry place.
