4. Setup

4.1 Attaching the Battery

The ohyes Bluetooth Speaker is designed for use with Milwaukee 18V battery packs. Ensure your battery is charged before use.

  1. Align the speaker's battery slot with the Milwaukee 18V battery pack.
  2. Slide the speaker firmly onto the battery until it clicks into place, ensuring a secure connection.

4.2 Powering On and Bluetooth Pairing

  1. With the battery attached, press and hold the Power Button on the top panel for 2-3 seconds until the LED indicator lights up and you hear an audible prompt.
  2. The speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, and the LED indicator will flash.
  3. On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select "OHYES ZX0988" from the list of devices to pair. Once successfully paired, you will hear a confirmation tone, and the LED indicator will turn solid blue.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Music Playback

  • Play/Pause: Short press the Power Button or the Play/Pause Button.
  • Volume Adjustment: Short press the Volume Up (+) or Volume Down (-) buttons.
  • Next/Previous Track: Long press the Volume Up (+) for next track or Volume Down (-) for previous track.

5.2 USB Disk Playback

Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 audio files into the USB-A port. The speaker will automatically detect the USB disk and begin playing music.

5.3 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing

For an enhanced stereo experience, you can pair two ohyes Bluetooth Speakers together.

  1. Ensure both ohyes speakers are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth device.
  2. On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the Bluetooth Button until you hear a pairing tone.
  3. The two speakers will automatically search for and connect to each other. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone, and the LED indicators on both speakers will turn solid blue.
  4. Now, connect your mobile device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in Section 4.2. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.

6. Charging External Devices

The ohyes Bluetooth Speaker can act as a power bank to charge your mobile devices.

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and has a Milwaukee 18V battery attached.
  2. Connect your mobile device to either the USB-A or USB-C charging port on the speaker using an appropriate charging cable.
  3. Flip the Charging Switch to the ON position to begin charging your device.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the speaker's exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the battery pack before storage.
  • Battery Care: Always ensure the Milwaukee 18V battery is properly inserted and removed. The speaker has a low-voltage protection feature, but it is recommended to remove the battery when not in use to prevent excessive discharge.
  • Avoid Water Exposure: This speaker is NOT waterproof. Avoid exposing it to rain, splashes, or submersion in water.
