1. Introduction

3.1 Basic Operation

  • START/STOP: Press this button to turn the air conditioner ON or OFF.
  • Mode Selection (AUTO, COOL, DRY, FAN, HEAT): Press the desired mode button to select the operating mode for your air conditioner.
    • AUTO: The unit automatically selects the operating mode based on the room temperature.
    • COOL: For cooling the room.
    • DRY: For dehumidifying the room.
    • FAN: Circulates air without heating or cooling.

  • SET TEMP ▲/▼: Use these arrow buttons to increase (▲) or decrease (▼) the desired temperature setting.
  • FAN CONTROL (AUTO, HIGH, MEN, LOW, QUIET): Press this button repeatedly to cycle through available fan speeds: Automatic, High, Medium (MEN), Low, and Quiet.

  • TIMER ON/OFF/CANCEL: Use these buttons to set a timer for the air conditioner to turn ON or OFF automatically. Press "ON" to set the power-on time, "OFF" to set the power-off time, and "CANCEL" to clear any set timers.
  • SWING: Activates or deactivates the automatic vertical swing of the air deflector.
  • ENERGY SAVING: Engages a power-saving mode, which may adjust temperature settings slightly to reduce energy consumption.
  • COIL DRY: Initiates a function to dry the indoor unit's coil, helping to prevent mold and odors.
  • SLEEP: Activates sleep mode, which typically adjusts temperature gradually and operates quietly for comfortable sleep.
  • TEST RUN: (Typically for service/installation) Initiates a test run of the unit. Use with caution.
  • RESET: A small, recessed button usually requiring a pointed object (like a pen tip) to press. Resets the remote control to its default settings.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Remote Control

Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

4.2 Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote's display becomes dim or the remote fails to operate the air conditioner reliably. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.
