Setup

Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries for operation. Batteries are not included with the remote and must be purchased separately.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or outwards to open it.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment. Incorrect insertion can prevent the remote from functioning.
4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Operating Instructions

Once batteries are installed, the remote control is ready for use. Point the remote directly at the infrared receiver on your Sanyo air conditioner unit.

Key Functions:

• ON/OFF Button: Press to turn the air conditioner unit on or off.
• TEMP ▲ / ▼ Buttons: Use these buttons to increase or decrease the desired temperature setting. The display shows temperature in Celsius only.
• MODE Button: Cycles through available operating modes such as Cool, Heat, Fan, Dry, or Auto. The active mode is typically indicated on the remote's LCD screen.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote control's range decreases, or if the display becomes dim or unresponsive. Always replace both AAA batteries at the same time with new ones. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

Cleaning

To clean the remote control, gently wipe its surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive pads, or chemical solvents, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

Troubleshooting

• Remote not responding:
  • Check if batteries are inserted correctly with proper polarity (+/-).
