Care and Maintenance
- After each use, clean any debris from the tools. The plastic drain snakes are often considered disposable due to the nature of the debris they collect, but can be reused if desired.
- Rinse the metal clog remover and cleaning brushes with water and mild soap if necessary.
- Store all tools in a dry place to prevent rust on metal components and maintain the integrity of the plastic.
Troubleshooting
Tool not reaching the clog: Ensure you are using the appropriate length tool for the depth of the clog. The 35.5-inch metal clog remover is designed for deeper pipes.
Clog not clearing: For stubborn clogs, repeat the process multiple times. If the clog persists, it may be larger or further down the pipe than the tools can reach, or it may require professional plumbing assistance.
Difficulty inserting tool: Ensure the drain opening is clear of any surface debris. The flexible design of the tools should allow them to navigate most pipe bends without damaging the pipes.
