3. Setup

3.1 Inserting the SIM Card

  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
  2. Locate the SIM card slot on the side of the device.
  3. Gently insert a Nano-SIM card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down and the notched corner aligned correctly. Push until it clicks into place.
  4. Close the SIM card slot cover (if applicable).

3.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the device.

  1. Connect the provided charging cable to the device's USB-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The screen will indicate charging status. A full charge takes approximately 150 minutes with a 27W fast charger.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button on the side of the device until the screen lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until the power-off options appear on the screen, then select 'Power Off'.

4.2 Connecting Devices via Wi-Fi

The ZTE MU5120 supports Wi-Fi 6 for high-speed connections.

  1. Ensure the MU5120 is powered on and has an active internet connection.
  2. On your device (smartphone, laptop, tablet), go to Wi-Fi settings.
  3. Select the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) displayed on the MU5120's screen.
  4. Enter the Wi-Fi password (Key) shown on the MU5120's screen.
  5. Your device should now be connected to the internet.

4.3 Connecting Devices via NFC

For compatible Android devices, NFC provides a quick connection method.

  1. Ensure NFC is enabled on your Android phone and on the MU5120 (check device settings).
  2. Tap your Android phone against the NFC area on the MU5120.
  3. Your phone will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network without needing to enter a password.

4.4 Using as a Power Bank

The MU5120 can charge other devices using its 18W reverse charging feature.

  1. Connect your device (e.g., smartphone) to the MU5120's USB-C port using a compatible charging cable.
  2. The MU5120 will begin charging your connected device.

4.5 Managing Settings via Touchscreen

The 2.4-inch touchscreen allows for direct management of the device.

Navigate through the menus by swiping and tapping on the screen. You can view information such as speed, traffic status, connected devices, and adjust Wi-Fi settings directly from the device.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Device

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device.
  • Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol sprays.

5.2 Battery Care

  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures (hot or cold).
  • Do not puncture, disassemble, or short-circuit the battery.
  • If the device will not be used for an extended period, charge it to about 50% before storing.

6.2 Resetting the Device

  2. With the device powered on, use a paperclip or a SIM ejector tool to press and hold the reset button inside the pinhole for about 5-10 seconds until the device restarts.
