5. Setup and Installation
The VIANIS Motion Sensor Outdoor Light is designed for straightforward installation. It is a hardwired 120VAC fixture and is not solar-powered. If you are unfamiliar with electrical wiring, it is recommended to consult a qualified electrician.
5.1. Dimensions and Components

Figure 2: Product Dimensions and E26 Base
Refer to Figure 2 for detailed product dimensions and an overview of the E26 bulb base. The bottom opening design facilitates easy bulb replacement and heat dissipation.
5.2. General Installation Steps
- Turn off Power: Before beginning installation, ensure the power supply to the fixture location is turned off at the circuit breaker.
- Mounting: Secure the mounting hardware to the wall.
- Wiring: Connect the fixture's wires to your household wiring according to local electrical codes. Typically, this involves connecting live, neutral, and ground wires.
- Secure Fixture: Attach the light fixture to the mounting hardware.
- Install Bulb: Insert a compatible E26 bulb (not included) into the socket.
- Seal: Apply silicone sealant around the top and sides of the fixture where it meets the wall, leaving the bottom unsealed to allow for moisture drainage.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
6. Operating Instructions
Your VIANIS Motion Sensor Outdoor Light features multiple operating modes and adjustable settings for customized lighting.
6.1. Motion Sensor Modes
The light offers four distinct operating modes, selectable via a single sensor button.

Figure 3: One-Click Mode Switching
- DIM Mode: At night, the light maintains 30% brightness. When motion is detected, it switches to 100% brightness. After motion ceases, it returns to 30% brightness. The light automatically turns off during the daytime.

Figure 4: DIM Mode Operation
- ECO+ Mode: The lights remain off at night. They turn on to 100% brightness only when motion is detected. After motion ceases, they turn off completely.

Figure 5: ECO+ Mode Operation
- D2D Mode (Dusk to Dawn): The light operates at 100% brightness throughout the night and automatically turns off at dawn.

Figure 6: D2D Mode Operation
- Override Mode: The light maintains 100% brightness for approximately 8 hours, then automatically turns off at dawn and returns to the previously selected AUTO mode. To activate, turn the light off and then back on within 2 seconds.

6.2. Mode Switching and Indicator Light
Switching between DIM and ECO+ modes is done with a quick press of the sensor button. No special tools are required.

7. Maintenance
7.1. Cleaning
The fixture is constructed from aluminum and tempered clear glass, designed for weather resistance (waterproof, sunproof, snowproof, stormproof). To clean, ensure power is off, then gently wipe the fixture with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish or glass.

7.2. Bulb Replacement
To replace the bulb, ensure power is off. The fixture features a bottom opening for easy access to the E26 socket. Use dimmable LED bulbs or incandescent bulbs up to 100W. Avoid non-dimmable LED bulbs if using dimming features, as this may cause flickering.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1. Light Flickering
If the light flickers, especially when using the dimmable function, ensure you are using a dimmable LED bulb or an incandescent bulb. Some non-dimmable LED bulbs may not be compatible with the fixture's dimming capabilities, leading to instability.
8.2. Motion Sensor Not Activating
- Check the selected operating mode (DIM, ECO+, D2D, Override). Ensure it is set to a motion-sensing mode if desired.
- Verify the adjustable sensing distance is set appropriately for the area.
- Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the sensor's view.
- Confirm the ambient light conditions are dark enough for the sensor to activate (for night-only modes).
9. Warranty and Support
This product comes with a limited warranty. For specific warranty details or technical support, please refer to the contact information provided with your purchase or visit the official VIANIS website.
