To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ZTFON YT-2000, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the device. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, which may damage the finish or internal components.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the pan tilt head in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: For extended storage, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to maintain battery health. Avoid fully discharging the battery for long periods.

Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your ZTFON YT-2000.

Device Not Powering On or Charging

  • Ensure the USB charging cable is securely connected to both the device's Type-C port and a functional 5V power source.
  • Verify that the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • If the device has been stored for a long time, the battery might be deeply discharged. Allow it to charge for an extended period.
  • Try a different USB cable or power adapter to rule out faulty accessories.

Jerky or Uneven Movement

  • Ensure your camera or phone is securely mounted and within the 2kg (70.5 ounce) weight limit. Overloading can affect movement smoothness.
  • Check for any obstructions that might be impeding the pan or tilt motion.
  • For very slow speeds (e.g., speed level 3 or lower), stepper motors may exhibit slight jerkiness. This is often inherent to the motor type at low speeds.

Face Tracking Not Working

  • Ensure the power switch is toggled downward to enter the tracking state (green light should be on).
  • Make sure your "OK" or "Palm" gestures are clear and performed within the tracking lens's field of view.
  • Ensure adequate lighting for the face recognition system to function effectively.

Remote Control Unresponsive

  • Check the batteries in the remote control and replace them if necessary.
  • Ensure there are no significant obstructions between the remote control and the pan tilt head.
  • Verify that the remote control channel (0-99) is correctly set if applicable (refer to the full instruction manual for pairing details).
