This manual provides essential information for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Sangyn Antique Landline Telephone. Please read these instructions carefully to ensure proper use and longevity of your device.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts are present: the telephone base, handset, coiled handset cord, and telephone line cord.
  2. Connect Handset: Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the handset and the other end into the 'HANDSET JACK' port located on the underside of the telephone base.
  3. Connect Telephone Line: Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the 'LINE JACK' port on the underside of the telephone base. Plug the other end into your wall telephone jack.
  4. Ringer Volume Adjustment: Locate the 'RINGER' switch on the underside of the telephone base. Slide the switch to 'HI' for high volume or 'LOW' for low volume, according to your preference.

Operating Instructions

  1. Making a Call:
    • Lift the handset from the cradle.
    • Wait for a dial tone.
    • Place your finger in the hole of the desired number on the rotary dial.
    • Rotate the dial clockwise until your finger reaches the metal stopper.
    • Release the dial and allow it to return to its original position. Repeat for each digit of the telephone number.
    • To use the hands-free function, press the 'Hands-Free' button (if available on your model) after dialing.
  2. Receiving a Call:
    • When the telephone rings, lift the handset to answer the call.
    • To end the call, place the handset back onto the cradle.
  3. Redial Function:
    • After a call has ended, lift the handset.
    • Press the 'Redial' button (if available on your model) to automatically dial the last number called.

Troubleshooting
