2. Setup and Assembly

Your TESGO Explorer Electric Bike comes partially assembled. Please follow these steps carefully to complete the assembly and prepare your bike for its first ride. Tools required for assembly are included in the package.

Assembly Steps:

  1. Unboxing and Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the box. Remove all protective packaging and zip ties. Ensure all listed components are present.
  2. Front Wheel Installation:
    • Remove the protective spacer from the front brake caliper.
    • Gently lift the bike and align the front fork with the front wheel. Ensure the brake disc slides smoothly into the caliper.
    • Secure the front wheel using the provided nuts on both sides of the axle. Hand-tighten first, then use the wrench to fully secure.
  3. Handlebar Installation:
    • Remove the screws from the handlebar stem.
    • Position the handlebar into the stem, ensuring proper alignment.
    • Re-insert and tighten the screws to secure the handlebar. Test for any movement by pushing and pulling the handlebar.
  4. Headlight and Fender Installation:
    • Attach the headlight bracket to the designated mounting point on the front fork.
    • Secure the front fender to the fork using the provided screws, ensuring it aligns with the headlight bracket.
    • Attach the rear fender to the rear frame using the appropriate screws.
  5. Front and Rear Rack Installation:
    • Mount the front rack to the dedicated base on the bike's head tube using the provided screws.
    • Attach the rear rack to the designated mounting points on the rear frame, securing it with screws.
  6. Pedal Installation:
    • Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals.
    • Screw the pedals into their respective crank arms. The right pedal tightens clockwise, and the left pedal tightens counter-clockwise.
    • Use the wrench to tighten the pedals as much as possible.
  7. Battery Installation/Charging:
    • Ensure the battery is securely inserted into the down tube slot.
    • For initial charging, connect the charger to the battery port and then to a power outlet. The indicator light on the charger will show charging status.
  8. Bell Installation:
    • Attach the bell to the handlebar in a convenient location using a screwdriver.

3. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the controls and functions of your TESGO Explorer Electric Bike before riding.

Powering On/Off:

  • To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the left side of the handlebar display.
  • To power off, press and hold the power button again until the display turns off.

Using Pedal Assist (PAS) and Throttle:

  • Pedal Assist (PAS): The bike offers 5 levels of pedal assistance. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the display to adjust the PAS level. Higher levels provide more motor assistance as you pedal.

4. Maintenance
