3. Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the bean container, ground coffee container, and the removable upper grinding disc with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are completely dry before assembly. Do not wash the main unit under running water.
- Placement: Place the grinder on a stable, flat, and dry surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance.
- Assemble: Ensure the ground coffee container is correctly inserted into the base of the grinder. Place the bean container onto the main unit and secure its lid.

4. Operating Instructions
- Fill Bean Container: Open the aroma protection lid and fill the bean container with whole roasted coffee beans. Do not overfill; the maximum capacity is 180g. Close the lid securely.
- Select Grind Level: Turn the grind level selector dial (labeled 'FEIN' for fine and 'GROB' for coarse) to your desired setting. There are 17 distinct settings available. Finer settings are suitable for espresso, while coarser settings are ideal for French press or drip coffee.
- Select Cup Quantity: Turn the cup quantity selector dial to choose the number of cups you wish to brew (from 2 to 12 cups). The grinder will automatically grind the appropriate amount of coffee for your selection.
- Start Grinding: Plug the appliance into a suitable power outlet. Press the Start/Stop button to begin the grinding process.
- Automatic Stop: The grinder will automatically stop once the selected quantity of coffee has been ground.
- Remove Ground Coffee: Carefully remove the ground coffee container from the appliance. The freshly ground coffee is now ready for brewing.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee grinder.
- Unplug: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Ground Coffee Container: Empty and wash the ground coffee container with warm, soapy water after each use. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Bean Container: If necessary, wipe the inside of the bean container with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Ensure no moisture enters the grinding mechanism.
- Grinding Burrs: The upper grinding disc is removable for easy cleaning. Turn the grind level selector to the coarsest setting, then carefully lift out the upper burr. Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any residual coffee grounds from both burrs and the grinding chamber.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the grinder with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- Do Not Immerse: Never immerse the main unit of the grinder in water or any other liquid.
6. Troubleshooting
- Grinder does not start:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
- Check that the bean container lid is properly closed and the ground coffee container is correctly inserted.
- Verify that the cup quantity selector is set to a valid number (2-12).
- Coffee is not grinding or grinding poorly:
- Check if the bean container is empty.
- The grinding burrs might be clogged. Unplug the unit and clean the burrs as described in the Maintenance section.
- Ensure only whole, roasted coffee beans are used. Do not use instant coffee or other substances.
- Appliance stops during operation:
- This is normal if the selected cup quantity has been reached (automatic stop).
- If it stops prematurely, the motor might be overheating. Unplug the appliance and let it cool down for at least 30 minutes before attempting to use it again.
