  • High Pressure Hazard: The high-pressure spray can cause serious injury. Never point the spray gun at people, pets, or electrical components.
  • Fuel Safety: Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow open flames near the unit. Store gasoline in an approved container away from ignition sources.
  • Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. Operate the pressure washer outdoors only, away from windows, doors, and vents.
  • Electrical Safety: Ensure all electrical connections are dry and secure. Do not operate the unit in standing water.
  • Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the pressure washer at all times, especially during operation.

4. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to set up your pressure washer before first use:

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all components from the packaging and inspect for any damage.
  2. Attach Handle and Wheels: Secure the handle and wheels according to the assembly instructions provided in the packaging.
  3. Add Engine Oil: Ensure the engine is cool. Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick. Add SAE 10W-30 oil (not included) to the engine crankcase until it reaches the full mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
  4. Add Fuel: Fill the 0.9-gallon fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline (87+ octane). Do not use E85 or E15. Do not overfill.
  5. Connect High-Pressure Hose: Connect one end of the 25-foot steel-braided high-pressure hose to the pump outlet and the other end to the spray gun. Ensure connections are tight.
  6. Connect Water Supply: Connect a standard garden hose (minimum 5/8" inner diameter) to the water inlet on the pump. Ensure your water supply provides at least 5 GPM at 20 PSI. Turn on the water supply completely.
  7. Prime the Pump: Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun until a steady stream of water flows from the nozzle, indicating that air has been purged from the pump.

5. Operating Instructions

Once set up, your pressure washer is ready for operation:

Starting the Engine:

  1. Ensure the fuel valve is open and the engine switch is in the 'ON' position.
  2. If the engine is cold, move the choke lever to the 'CLOSED' position. For a warm engine, the choke may not be necessary.
  3. Pull the recoil starter handle firmly and smoothly until the engine starts.
  4. Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the 'OPEN' position.

Using Quick-Connect Nozzles:

Select the appropriate nozzle tip for your cleaning task. The 5 quick-connect nozzles offer various spray patterns:

  • 0° (Red): Pin-point jet for intense cleaning of small, tough spots. Use with extreme caution.
  • 15° (Orange): Narrow, high-pressure spray for concentrated cleaning on hard surfaces.
  • 25° (Green): Medium-angle spray for general cleaning of most surfaces.
  • 40° (White): Wide-angle spray for gentle cleaning and rinsing.
  • Soap (Black): Low-pressure spray for applying detergent.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pressure washer:

  • Check Engine Oil: Check oil level before each use. Change oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or annually.
  • Clean Air Filter: Inspect the air filter regularly. Clean or replace if dirty to ensure proper engine performance.
  • Inspect Spark Plug: Check the spark plug annually or every 100 hours. Clean or replace if fouled.
  • Flush Pump: After each use, run clean water through the pump for a few minutes to flush out any detergent or debris.
  • Inspect Hoses and Connections: Check for leaks, kinks, or damage before and after each use.
  • Nozzle Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning needle to clear any blockages in the nozzle tips.

Storage (Winterization):

If storing for an extended period or in freezing temperatures:

  1. Drain Fuel: Run the engine until it runs out of fuel, or drain the fuel tank. Add a fuel stabilizer if storing with fuel.
  2. Add Fuel Stabilizer: If not draining, add fuel stabilizer to the tank and run the engine for a few minutes to circulate.
  3. Fog Engine: Remove the spark plug and spray fogging oil into the cylinder. Pull the recoil starter a few times to distribute.
  4. Protect Pump: Use a pump protector or RV antifreeze to prevent freezing and corrosion. Follow product instructions.
  5. Store the unit in a dry, protected area.
