4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the keyboard. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's port and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter). The keyboard has a 4400mAh battery, providing approximately 180 hours of use after a 15-hour charge.

4.2 Wired Connection (USB-C)

To use the keyboard in wired mode:

  1. Connect the USB-C end of the cable to the keyboard.
  2. Connect the USB-A end of the cable to your computer's USB port.
  3. Press Fn + Delete to switch to wired mode. The keyboard will be recognized automatically by your operating system.

4.3 Wireless Connection (Bluetooth 5.0)

The keyboard supports connection to up to 3 Bluetooth devices. To connect via Bluetooth:

  1. Ensure the keyboard is charged.
  2. Press Fn + Delete to switch to Bluetooth mode.
  3. Press and hold Fn + Q, Fn + W, or Fn + E for 3-5 seconds to enter pairing mode for Channel 1, 2, or 3 respectively. The indicator light will flash rapidly.
  4. On your device (computer, tablet, smartphone), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  5. Select "SHURIKEY GEAR Keyboard" (or similar name) from the list to pair.
  6. Once paired, the indicator light will stop flashing.

To switch between connected Bluetooth devices, simply press Fn + Q, Fn + W, or Fn + E corresponding to the desired channel.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Key Functions

The keyboard features a 65% layout. Many functions are accessed via the Fn key combined with other keys.

  • Fn + Delete: Toggle between wired and Bluetooth modes.
  • Fn + Q/W/E: Switch between Bluetooth devices connected to Channels 1, 2, or 3.
  • Fn + Backspace: Switch to Game Mode for lower latency.
  • Fn + Right Alt: Check charging status (indicated by the Esc key light).
