4.1 Monitor Controls and Ports

  • Power Button: Press and hold to turn the device on/off.
  • OK / Switch Button: Confirm selections or switch modes.
  • Up / Zoom In Button: Navigate menus or zoom in during live view.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Device

  1. Connect the USB charging cable to the charging port on the otoscope monitor.

  3. The charging indicator will illuminate. Allow approximately 3-4 hours for a full charge.
  4. A full charge provides up to 5 hours of continuous use.

5.2 Inserting the Micro SD Card

The device comes with a pre-installed 8GB Micro SD card. If you need to replace it or ensure it's properly seated:

  1. Locate the TF card slot on the side of the monitor.
  2. Gently push the Micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place. To remove, push it in again until it springs out.

5.3 Attaching the Camera Probe

  1. Align the connector of the camera probe with the camera interface port on the monitor.
  2. Gently push the probe into the port until it is securely connected.

5.4 Attaching a Speculum and Ear Pick

  1. Select a protective speculum and slide it onto the tip of the camera probe. Ensure it is firmly attached.
  2. If performing ear wax removal, select an appropriate silicone ear pick and attach it to the end of the camera probe, over the speculum.
  3. Always use a speculum to prevent over-insertion.

6. Operation

6.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the Power Button until the screen illuminates.
  • To power off, press and hold the Power Button until the screen turns off.

6.2 Live View and Navigation

  • Once powered on, the device will display a live feed from the camera probe on the 4.5-inch IPS screen.
  • Use the Up / Zoom In and Down / Zoom Out buttons to digitally zoom the image up to 4x.
  • Press the Brightness Switch to cycle through 3 levels of LED light intensity on the camera probe.

6.3 Capturing Images and Videos

  • To take a photo: Press the Photo / Video Button once. The image will be saved to the Micro SD card.
  • To record a video: Press and hold the Photo / Video Button for approximately 2 seconds to start recording. Press and hold again to stop recording. The video will be saved to the Micro SD card.
  • Images and videos are captured at 1280x720p or 1080p resolution.

6.4 Reviewing Media

  • Press the Back / Menu Button to access the main menu.
  • Navigate to the "Gallery" or "Playback" option using the Up/Down buttons and confirm with the OK Button.
  • Browse through your saved photos and videos.

6.5 Using the Flashlight

7. Maintenance and Care

7.1 Cleaning the Camera Probe

To prevent blurry images and maintain hygiene, clean the camera probe after each use.

  1. Remove any attached speculum or ear pick.
