1. Introduction

The JASTIND Heavy Duty 3-72V Digital LED Automotive Test Light is a versatile circuit tester designed for checking various vehicle electrical circuits. • Bidirectional Voltage Testing & Computer Safe: This tester indicates polarity with two color LED lights and a buzzer. A red light and one beep indicate positive polarity, while a green light and two beeps indicate negative polarity. The precision-designed circuit board minimizes current draw, reducing the risk of damaging sensitive vehicle computer systems.

Before use, ensure the probe protective cover is removed. Connect the alligator clip to a suitable ground or positive terminal of the circuit you intend to test. The test light is designed for 3-72V DC systems.

4.1. Polarity Testing

The test light provides bidirectional voltage testing with visual and audible indicators.

• Positive Polarity: When the probe touches a positive voltage source, the red LED light will illuminate, and the buzzer will sound once.
• Negative Polarity: When the probe touches a negative voltage source (ground), the green LED light will illuminate, and the buzzer will sound twice.

4.2. Voltage Reading

The digital display shows the precise voltage reading. For voltages between 3V and 72V, a normal display will appear. For voltages outside this range, the display may be blank (0-3V) or show '---' (above 72V).

4.3. Fuse Testing

To test fuses, connect the alligator clip to a known good ground point. Carefully touch the probe to the metal contacts on top of the fuse. If the fuse is good, the test light will illuminate and display the voltage. If the fuse is blown, there will be no indication on one or both sides, depending on the circuit configuration.

• Cable Care: Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the spring wire. While designed to be anti-tensile, excessive force can damage the internal wiring.

• No Display/No Light:
  • Ensure the alligator clip has a secure connection to a good ground (for positive voltage testing) or a positive terminal (for negative voltage testing).
  • Verify that the circuit being tested is within the 3-72V DC operating range. Voltages outside this range may not register.
  • Check for any visible damage to the wire or probe.
• Incorrect Polarity Indication:
  • Double-check your connection of the alligator clip. The tester's bidirectional feature relies on the clip being connected to either a known positive or negative reference.
• Inaccurate Voltage Reading:
  • Ensure the probe has good contact with the test point.
  • Verify the battery of the device (if applicable, though this one is powered by the circuit).
