5. Maintenance

  • Keep the camera and lens clean using a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • Avoid exposing the camera to extreme temperatures, dust, or moisture.
  • Store the camera in a dry, cool place when not in use.
  • Regularly check for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Overheating

The Sony ZV-E1 is designed with thermal management. In certain demanding recording conditions (e.g., prolonged 4K 60p recording in high ambient temperatures), the camera may display a warning or shut down to protect internal components. To mitigate this:

  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the camera.
  • Reduce recording resolution or frame rate if possible.
  • Consider using an external cooling fan in extreme conditions.

6.2 Image Stabilization Issues

If you experience unstable footage despite using the 5-axis in-body image stabilization or Dynamic Active Mode, ensure that:

  • The lens is securely attached.
  • The stabilization settings are appropriate for your shooting scenario.
  • For extremely dynamic movements, external gimbals may provide additional stability.
