5. Operating Instructions
The hydraulic lift mechanism allows for convenient access to the under-bed storage. Follow these steps for safe operation:
- To Lift: Stand at the foot of the bed. Grasp the lifting strap or handle located at the foot of the bed frame. Gently pull upwards. The hydraulic mechanism will assist in lifting the mattress platform smoothly and hold it in the raised position.
- To Lower: Grasp the lifting strap or handle. Apply gentle downward pressure to disengage the hydraulic lock. Guide the mattress platform down slowly and evenly until it rests fully on the bed frame.
Important Considerations:
- Ensure no objects are obstructing the lifting or lowering path of the mattress platform.
- The maximum weight capacity for lifting is 135 lbs. Do not exceed this limit.
- The anti-falling device at the headboard prevents the mattress from sliding when lifted.

6. Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will extend the life of your SHA CERLIN bed frame.
- Cleaning the Fabric: For general cleaning, gently vacuum the upholstered surfaces to remove dust and debris. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild fabric cleaner following the product's instructions, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
- Frame Inspection: Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
- Hydraulic Mechanism: The hydraulic system is designed for long-term use and generally requires no special maintenance. Avoid applying excessive force or attempting to disassemble it.
- Wood Slats: Ensure slats remain securely in place. Replace any damaged slats to maintain proper mattress support.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your bed frame, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Bed Frame Squeaks: Check all assembly bolts and screws and tighten them. Ensure the wood slats are properly seated and not rubbing against the frame.
- Hydraulic Lift Not Holding: Verify that the mattress weight does not exceed the maximum lifting capacity of 135 lbs. Ensure the mechanism is fully engaged when lifted. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
- Mattress Sliding: The wingback headboard and anti-falling device are designed to prevent mattress sliding. Ensure the mattress is correctly positioned against the headboard.
- Difficulty Lifting/Lowering: Ensure no obstructions are present. If the mattress is new, it might be slightly heavier than expected. Apply steady, even pressure.
