Setup

Battery Installation

The device requires two LR44 batteries. These are typically included. If you need to replace them or install them for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
2. Use a small screwdriver to open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert two new LR44 batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals are aligned correctly.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

After battery installation, press the RESET button to initiate the device. The Tamagotchi character will begin from the beginning.

Initial Device Activation

Once batteries are installed and the device is reset, the initial setup sequence will begin. Follow the on-screen prompts to set the time and other basic preferences.

Controls

The Tamagotchi Nano device features three primary buttons:

Caring for Your Character

To ensure your character thrives, regular care is essential:

• Feeding: When your character is hungry, select the food icon from the menu and press Button B to feed them.
• Snacks: If your character is in a bad mood, provide a snack to improve their disposition.
• Clean-up: Address any messes or needs promptly to maintain a healthy environment for your character.

Mini-Games

Engage with your character through various mini-games to keep them entertained and to influence their evolution. The Tamagotchi Nano x Jujutsu Kaisen 0 features three specific mini-games:

• Fighting with Miguel: Participate in a battle sequence.
• Taking a Photo of a Crepe: A timing-based game.
• I Love Panda Slot: A slot machine style game.

Your performance in these games and overall care pattern will determine which of the 13 characters Okkotsu will introduce you to.

Fighting Cursed Spirits

Cursed spirits may appear periodically. You must fight them to prevent them from injuring your character. Follow the on-screen prompts, which typically involve pressing specific buttons (A, B, or C) as they appear next to the enemy.

Sound Control

To turn off the sound, press Button A and Button C simultaneously. Then, select the desired sound setting from the options presented.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean your Tamagotchi Nano device, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the device's casing or screen.

Battery Replacement

When the display becomes dim or the device stops responding, it is likely time to replace the batteries. Refer to the "Battery Installation" section under Setup for detailed instructions. Always use two new LR44 batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries (standard, carbon-zinc, or rechargeable).

Troubleshooting

Character Leaves or "Dies"

If your character is neglected (not fed, not played with, or messes are not cleaned), they may leave the device. This is a normal part of the game if care is not consistent. To restart, replace the batteries and press the RESET button.

Device Not Responding

If the device is unresponsive, try the following:

• Ensure batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace them if necessary.
• Press the RESET button. Note that this will restart your character's progress.

Sound Issues

If there is no sound, ensure it has not been turned off. Press Button A and Button C simultaneously to access sound settings and adjust as needed.
