1. Introduction

The LogiLink Digital Timer ET0014 allows you to automate the power supply to your electrical appliances. You can preset specific times and dates for devices to turn on or off, enhancing energy efficiency and convenience. This timer features a large 180° rotatable LCD screen for easy programming and an IP20 rating for protection against solid objects.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Ensure the timer is correctly plugged into a grounded wall socket.
  • Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 3500W (15A). Overloading can cause damage or fire.
  • This device is rated IP20, meaning it is protected against solid objects larger than 12.5mm (e.g., fingers). It is not protected against water. Do not use in wet or damp conditions.
  • Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the timer. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Unplug the timer from the wall socket before cleaning. Clean only with a dry, soft cloth.

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Power-Up and Reset

  1. Plug the timer into a standard wall socket. The LCD screen should light up.
  2. Press the RESET button (usually a small recessed button, may require a pen tip) to clear all previous settings and ensure proper operation. The display will show '00:00'.

4.2 Setting Current Time and Day

  1. Press and hold the CLOCK button.
  2. While holding CLOCK, press WEEK repeatedly to select the current day (MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU).
  3. While holding CLOCK, press HOUR repeatedly to set the current hour (0-23).
  4. While holding CLOCK, press MIN repeatedly to set the current minute (0-59).
  5. Release the CLOCK button. The current time and day are now set.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Programming ON/OFF Times (Up to 16 Programs)

This timer allows for up to 16 ON/OFF programs. Each program consists of an ON time and an OFF time.

  1. Press the MODE button repeatedly until 'PROG' appears on the display, then press ENTER. The display will show '1 ON'.
  2. Press WEEK to select the desired day(s) for the program. Options include individual days, weekdays, weekends, or all 7 days.
  3. Press HOUR to set the ON hour.
  4. Press MIN to set the ON minute.
  5. Press ENTER to confirm the ON time. The display will now show '1 OFF'.
  6. Repeat steps 2-4 to set the OFF time for the same program.
  7. Press ENTER to confirm the OFF time.
  8. To set additional programs, press MODE to cycle to '2 ON', '2 OFF', and so on, repeating steps 2-7 for each program.
  9. After setting all desired programs, press CLOCK to return to the current time display.

5.2 Manual Override (ON/OFF/AUTO)

In the normal time display mode, press the MODE button to cycle through the following output states:

  • AUTO: The timer operates according to the programmed ON/OFF times.
  • ON: The connected appliance is continuously ON, overriding all programs.
  • OFF: The connected appliance is continuously OFF, overriding all programs.

5.3 Countdown Timer

The countdown function allows you to set a specific duration after which the connected appliance will turn ON or OFF.

  1. Press MODE repeatedly until 'CD' (Countdown) appears on the display.
  2. Press HOUR and MIN to set the desired countdown duration.
  3. Press ENTER to start the countdown. The display will show the remaining time.
  4. To cancel the countdown, press CLEAR.

5.4 Random Timer

The random timer function turns the appliance ON and OFF at irregular intervals within a set period, simulating presence for security purposes.

  1. Press MODE repeatedly until 'RANDOM' appears on the display.
  2. Press ENTER to activate the random function. The timer will now switch the appliance ON and OFF randomly within a predefined time window (e.g., 6 PM to 6 AM).
  3. To deactivate, press ENTER again.

5.5 Clearing Programs

To clear a specific program:

  1. Enter program mode by pressing MODE until 'PROG' appears, then ENTER.
  2. Use MODE to navigate to the specific program number (e.g., '3 ON').
  3. Press CLEAR. This will clear both the ON and OFF times for that program.

To clear all programs and reset the timer to factory defaults, use the RESET button (Section 4.1).

6. Maintenance

  • Unplug the timer from the power outlet before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or abrasive materials.
  • Do not expose the timer to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or moisture.

7. Troubleshooting
