3. Setup

3.1 Power Source

The EooCoo Scientific Calculator utilizes a dual power system: solar energy and a CR2 battery. The battery is pre-installed. For optimal performance, ensure the solar panel is exposed to light during use. The calculator will automatically switch to battery power in low-light conditions.

3.2 Initial Use

To begin using the calculator, simply open the device. The display should activate automatically. If the display does not turn on, ensure sufficient light for the solar panel or check the battery.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Calculator Functions

The calculator features a standard layout for basic arithmetic operations. Input numbers using the numeric keypad and perform operations using the +, -, ×, ÷, and = keys. The large LCD display shows up to 10 digits.

4.2 Scientific Functions

The EooCoo Scientific Calculator includes a range of scientific functions such as trigonometric (sin, cos, tan), logarithmic (log, ln), exponential (EXP), square root (√), and power (x^y) functions. Refer to the key labels for specific function locations. Press the 2ndF key to access secondary functions indicated above the primary keys.

4.3 Notepad Usage

The integrated notepad allows for temporary notes, calculations, or diagrams. Use the provided stylus pen to write on the digital screen. The screen is pressure-sensitive, mimicking a natural writing experience.

To clear the notepad, press the circular Clear button located at the bottom center of the notepad screen. This will erase all content on the notepad.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the calculator and notepad surfaces, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the device.

5.2 Battery Replacement

The calculator uses one CR2 battery. If the display becomes dim or the calculator functions intermittently, the battery may need replacement. To replace the battery:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the calculator.
2. Carefully open the cover.
3. Remove the old CR2 battery.
4. Insert a new CR2 battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
5. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.

6. Troubleshooting

• Calculator does not turn on:
  Ensure the device is open. Check for sufficient light exposure for the solar panel. If the issue persists, the CR2 battery may be depleted; replace it as described in Section 5.2.
• Notepad does not display writing or cannot be cleared:
  Ensure the stylus is being used correctly. If the notepad cannot be cleared by pressing the clear button, the internal battery for the notepad function might be low or depleted. Try replacing the main CR2 battery. If the issue persists after battery replacement, contact customer support.
• Display is dim or flickering:
  This usually indicates a low battery. Replace the CR2 battery. Ensure adequate lighting for solar power.
• Keys are unresponsive:
  Ensure no debris is lodged under the keys. Clean the keypad area. If specific keys remain unresponsive, contact customer support.
