1. Setup
1.1 Package Contents
Ensure all items are present in the package:
- 1 DECT Base Station

1.2 Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the handset.
- Insert the two supplied NiMH rechargeable batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
1.3 Base Station Connection
- Connect the telephone line cable to the LINE socket on the base station and to your telephone wall socket.
- Connect the power supply unit to the POWER socket on the base station and then plug it into a mains power outlet.
- Place the handset on the base station to charge. The display will indicate charging.
Important: Use only the supplied power adapter and rechargeable batteries. Allow the handset to charge for at least 15 hours before initial use to ensure full battery capacity.
2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Basic Call Functions
- Making a Call: Press the Call button (green handset icon), then dial the number. Alternatively, dial the number first and then press the Call button.
- Receiving a Call: When the phone rings, press the Call button.
- Ending a Call: Press the End Call button (red handset icon) or place the handset back on the base station.
- Hands-free Function: During a call, press the Hands-free button (speaker icon) to activate or deactivate the speakerphone. Adjust volume using the navigation keys.
2.2 Display and Volume Settings
- Backlit Display: The large 2-line backlit display shows names and numbers clearly.
- Ringtone Selection: Choose from 10 different ringtones. Access this setting via the handset menu.
- Volume Adjustment: Adjust handset earpiece volume, speakerphone volume, and ringer volume through the menu settings.
2.3 Phonebook and Call Log
- Storing Contacts: The phonebook can store up to 100 contacts. Navigate to the phonebook menu to add, edit, or delete entries.
- Direct Memory Keys (M1, M2): Assign frequently called numbers to the M1 and M2 buttons for quick dialing. Refer to the menu for programming these keys.
- Call Log: The phone stores the last 50 incoming, outgoing, and missed calls. Access the call log via the menu to view details or redial.
- VIP Function: Assign a dedicated ringtone to specific contacts in your phonebook to identify important callers.
2.4 Call Blocking Function
The ALCATEL F530 features a call blocking function to manage unwanted calls.
- Blocking Numbers: Press the dedicated Call Block button during an incoming call or add numbers manually via the menu. Up to 100 numbers can be blocked.
- Automatic Mode: Activate the automatic call blocking mode to only allow calls from numbers stored in your phonebook. All other calls will be blocked.
3. Maintenance
3.1 Cleaning
Clean the handset and base station with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the device is unplugged from the power outlet before cleaning.
3.2 Battery Care
- Only use the recommended NiMH rechargeable batteries.
