Important Safety Instructions

Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials from the kettle and its components. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. First Use Cleaning: Before initial use, fill the kettle with water to the maximum fill line. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to ensure the kettle is clean and free of any manufacturing residues.
3. Placement: Place the power base on a dry, flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface near an electrical outlet. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in a position where it can be pulled or tripped over.

Operating Instructions

1. Filling the Kettle: Remove the lid and fill the kettle with fresh, cold water. Do not fill below the 'MIN' mark or above the 'MAX' fill line located inside the kettle. Overfilling can cause boiling water to overflow.
2. Placing on Base: Securely place the kettle onto the power base. Ensure it is properly seated.
3. Setting Temperature: Use the digital control knob on the base to select your desired water temperature, ranging from 104°F to 212°F (40°C to 100°C). The digital display will show the set temperature.
4. Starting Boil: Press the control knob to start the heating process. The display will show the current water temperature as it heats. The 1200W heating element rapidly heats 1 liter of water in approximately 3-5 minutes.
5. Temperature Hold Function: The kettle features an extended temperature-hold function for up to 60 minutes. Once the desired temperature is reached, the kettle will maintain it for the set duration.
6. Ready Tone: A ready tone will sound when the water reaches your preset temperature.
7. Pouring: The precision gooseneck spout is designed for controlled pouring, ideal for pour-over coffee or tea. Pour slowly and steadily.
8. Automatic Shut-Off: The kettle will automatically shut off once the water reaches the set temperature or if it boils dry.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your kettle.

• Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. The kettle exterior can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. The interior of the kettle should be hand washed.
• Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale, fill the kettle with a solution of equal parts water and white vinegar, or use a commercial descaling agent according to its instructions. Bring the solution to a boil and let it sit for at least 30 minutes (or as recommended by the descaler). Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly several times with fresh water.
• Drying: After cleaning, ensure all parts are thoroughly dry before storing or next use. The double-layer ventilated lid can be removed to aid in drying the interior.
• Storage: Store the kettle and its base in a dry, safe place. The power cord can be secured with the included Velcro tie for neat storage.
