6. Jump Starting a Vehicle

The CRAFTSMAN CMXCESM264 is capable of jump-starting gasoline engines up to 8.0L and diesel engines up to 4.5L. It features Pre-Heating Technology for cold weather starts and Pre-Boost for deeply discharged batteries.

1. Prepare the Vehicle: Turn off the vehicle's ignition and all accessories (lights, radio, air conditioning). Engage the parking brake.
2. Connect Clamps: Connect the RED positive (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's battery. Connect the BLACK negative (-) clamp to a non-moving metal part of the vehicle's chassis, away from the battery and fuel lines.
