Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the stable operation of your motherboard. Follow these steps carefully.
1. Preparing the Motherboard
Before installation, ensure you have a clean, static-free workspace. Unpack the motherboard and verify all included accessories are present, such as the I/O shield, SATA cables, and M.2 screws.

2. Installing the CPU
Carefully open the CPU socket (LGA 1700) retention arm. Align the triangular mark on your Intel 12th, 13th, or 14th Gen Core processor with the corresponding mark on the socket. Gently place the CPU into the socket without forcing it, then close the retention arm to secure the processor.

6. Connecting Peripherals and Power
Connect all necessary power cables from your power supply to the motherboard (24-pin ATX and 8-pin CPU power). Connect front panel headers (power button, reset, USB, audio), SATA devices, and case fans. Finally, connect your display to the appropriate port (HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA) on the rear I/O panel.

Operating Instructions
Once your system is assembled, you can power it on and configure the motherboard settings.
1. BIOS/UEFI Setup
Upon first boot, press the DEL key repeatedly to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup utility. Here you can configure boot order, enable XMP profiles for memory overclocking (Memory Boost), adjust fan curves, and update the BIOS. It is recommended to update the BIOS to the latest version for optimal compatibility and performance, especially for newer generation processors.
2. Software Utilities
MSI provides various software utilities to enhance your experience. The MSI Center software allows for system monitoring, fan control (Frozr AI cooling), and performance tuning. Ensure you download the latest drivers from the official MSI website for all motherboard components.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your motherboard.
- Dust Removal: Periodically clean dust from the motherboard and components using compressed air. Pay attention to heatsinks and fan areas to maintain efficient cooling.
- BIOS Updates: Check the official MSI website for new BIOS versions. Updating your BIOS can improve stability, add support for new hardware, and fix bugs. Follow the instructions provided by MSI carefully during the update process.
- Driver Updates: Keep your motherboard drivers (chipset, LAN, audio, etc.) updated to ensure compatibility and performance.
- Physical Inspection: Occasionally inspect the motherboard for any visible damage, loose connections, or bulging capacitors.

Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions to common issues you might encounter.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| System does not power on. | Loose power connections, faulty PSU, incorrect front panel wiring. | Verify all power cables (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU) are securely connected. Check front panel power switch wiring. Test PSU if possible. |
| No display output. | Incorrect display cable connection, unseated GPU/RAM, incompatible CPU/BIOS. | Ensure display cable is connected to the graphics card or motherboard's integrated graphics port. Reseat RAM and GPU. Update BIOS if using a newer CPU generation. |
| System instability or crashes. | Overheating, unstable RAM settings, outdated drivers. | Check CPU/GPU temperatures. Disable XMP/EXPO profiles for RAM and test at default speeds. Update all drivers and BIOS. |
| M.2 SSD not detected. | Improper installation, M.2 slot disabled in BIOS, incompatible drive. | Reseat the M.2 SSD. Check BIOS settings to ensure M.2 slots are enabled. Verify drive compatibility with the motherboard. |
