Installation Guide

The Tesa Assa Abloy Series 2030 Mortice Lock is designed for wooden doors. Ensure the door thickness and existing mortice cut-out are compatible with the lock's dimensions (Entrada 70 mm for this model).

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare the Door: If not already present, mark and cut the mortice pocket in the door edge according to the lock body dimensions. Ensure the backset (Entrada) of 70 mm is accurately measured from the door edge to the center of the spindle hole.
2. Install the Lock Body: Insert the mortice lock body into the prepared pocket in the door edge. Secure it with the provided screws through the faceplate.
3. Install the Spindle and Handles (not included): Insert the spindle through the square hole in the lock body. Attach the door handles (not supplied) to the spindle, ensuring they operate the latch bolt smoothly.
4. Install the Cylinder: Insert the Euro profile cylinder into the designated opening in the lock body. Secure the cylinder with the long retaining screw through the door edge, passing through the lock body and into the cylinder.

Operating Instructions

Locking and Unlocking with Key:

• To Lock: Insert the key into the cylinder and turn it clockwise. The deadbolt will extend. For full security, turn the key two complete turns until the deadbolt is fully extended. Remove the key.
• To Unlock: Insert the key into the cylinder and turn it counter-clockwise. The deadbolt will retract. Turn the key until the deadbolt is fully retracted. Remove the key.

Operating the Latch Bolt:

• The latch bolt is operated by the door handles (not included). Simply depress the handle to retract the latch bolt and open the door. Release the handle to allow the latch bolt to extend and secure the door in the closed position.
• The cylinder also actuates the lever and the pusher, allowing for entry function with the key.
