Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

• Read all instructions before using the kettle.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the kettle base in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

Setup

Before First Use:

1. Unpack the kettle and all accessories. Remove any packaging materials, stickers, or labels.
2. Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the kettle body or power base in water.
3. Fill the kettle with clean water up to the MAX fill line.
4. Boil the water (refer to Operating Instructions).
5. Discard the boiled water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues and ensure a clean taste.

Placement:

• Place the power base on a dry, flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface.
• Ensure the kettle is placed away from the edge of the counter to prevent accidental tipping.
• Keep the kettle and power cord away from water sources, heat sources, and direct sunlight.

Operating Instructions

1. Fill the Kettle: Remove the lid and fill the kettle with fresh, cold water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark (0.8L). Ensure the lid is securely placed back on the kettle.
2. Place on Base: Place the kettle firmly onto the power base.
3. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
4. Start Boiling: Press the power switch located on the side of the kettle. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the kettle is heating.
5. Automatic Shut-Off: The kettle will automatically turn off once the water reaches a rolling boil. The indicator light will extinguish, and the power switch will pop up.
6. Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from the base. The gooseneck spout allows for a slow and steady water flow, providing optimal control for pour-over coffee or tea.
7. Re-boiling: If you need to re-boil water, wait a few moments for the kettle to cool slightly before pressing the power switch again.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your kettle.

Daily Cleaning:

• Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
• The kettle interior should be hand washed. Rinse the interior with clean water after each use.
• Do not immerse the kettle body or the power base in water or any other liquid.

Descaling:

Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the kettle over time, especially in hard water areas. This can affect performance and taste. Descale your kettle regularly (e.g., monthly or as needed).

1. Fill the kettle with a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water, or use a commercial descaling solution according to its instructions.
2. Let the solution soak in the kettle for at least 30 minutes, or boil it if the scale is severe.
3. After soaking/boiling, discard the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times to remove any residue and vinegar smell.
4. For stubborn deposits, gently scrub the interior with a soft brush or sponge.
