Familiarize yourself with the main components of your turntable.

3. Setup

The Retrolife turntable is designed for easy setup, allowing you to start enjoying your music in minutes.

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the turntable from its packaging. Ensure all components are present:

  • 45 RPM Adaptor (if applicable)

3.2 Power Connection

  1. Locate the DC 5V 1A power input on the back of the turntable.
  2. Connect the provided power cord to the turntable.
  3. Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable wall outlet.

3.3 Initial Placement

Place the turntable on a stable, level surface to prevent vibrations that could affect sound quality.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Playing a Vinyl Record

  1. Open the turntable lid.
  2. Place a vinyl record on the platter.
  3. Select the appropriate speed (33, 45, or 78 RPM) using the speed selection switch. Use the 45 RPM adaptor for 7-inch singles if needed.
  4. Set the Auto Stop switch to ON if you want the platter to stop automatically at the end of the record, or OFF for continuous play.
  5. Gently push the lift lever up to raise the tone arm.
  6. Manually position the tone arm over the desired track of the record.
  7. Slowly push the lift lever down to lower the tone arm onto the record.
  8. Adjust the volume using the On/Off & Volume knob.
  9. To stop playback, gently push the lift lever up, return the tone arm to its rest, and then push the lift lever down. Turn the volume knob counter-clockwise until it clicks to power off.

4.2 Bluetooth Mode

You can stream digital music wirelessly to the turntable's built-in speakers.

  1. Turn on the turntable using the On/Off & Volume knob.
  2. Set the mode switch to "BT" (Bluetooth). The Power/Bluetooth indicator light will flash blue, indicating pairing mode.
  3. Enable Bluetooth on your external device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) and search for "Vintage Turntable" or "Retrolife".
  4. Select the turntable from the list of available devices to pair. Once connected, the indicator light will stop flashing and remain solid blue.
  5. You can now play music from your device through the turntable's speakers. Adjust volume using both your device and the turntable's volume knob.

4.3 Aux-in Mode

Connect non-Bluetooth devices using an Aux-in cable (not included).

  1. Turn on the turntable.
  2. Set the mode switch to "LINE IN".
  3. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable to the Line In jack on the turntable.
  4. Connect the other end to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone).
  5. Play music from your external device. Adjust volume using both your device and the turntable's volume knob.

4.4 RCA Line Out

Connect the turntable to external powered speakers or an amplifier for enhanced sound.

  1. Ensure the turntable and external audio system are powered off.
  2. Connect RCA cables (not included) from the RCA OUT jacks (Red for Right, White for Left) on the back of the turntable to the corresponding input jacks on your external amplifier or powered speakers.
  3. Power on the external audio system, then the turntable.
  4. Adjust volume on your external audio system.

For private listening, connect headphones (not included) to the headphone jack.
