Setup Guide

Follow these steps for a successful installation:

  1. Prepare the Sink Area: Turn off the main water supply. Clear the area under the sink and remove any old faucet components.
  2. Install the Faucet Base: Place the main faucet body through the mounting hole on your sink or countertop. If your sink has multiple holes, use the included deck plate to cover unused holes. Ensure the black rubber gasket is seated flush on the bottom of the faucet base.
  3. Connect Water Lines: From underneath the sink, thread the hot and cold water supply lines onto the corresponding connections on the faucet. The faucet typically has color indicators (red for hot, blue for cold). Hand-tighten, then use a wrench for a quarter turn. Avoid overtightening to prevent damage.
  4. Secure the Faucet: Place the white rubber washer, then the metal washer, and finally the large mounting nut onto the threaded shank from underneath the sink. Hand-tighten the nut until it is snug, then loosen it by 2-5 turns. This creates space for the side screws.
  5. Tighten Side Screws: Use a long-handled Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the two side screws on the mounting nut. Alternate tightening each screw evenly until the faucet is stable and does not wobble. Do not use a wrench on these screws.
  6. Install the Soap Dispenser: Insert the soap dispenser body into its designated hole. From underneath, secure it with the provided rubber washers and nut. Fill the dispenser from the top by pulling out the pump mechanism.
  7. Flush the Lines: Before attaching the sprayer head, turn on the main water supply and allow water to run through the faucet for a few minutes to flush out any debris. Turn off the water.
  8. Attach Sprayer Head: Connect the pull-down sprayer head to the flexible hose. Ensure a secure connection.
  9. Check for Leaks: Turn the water supply back on and carefully check all connections for any leaks. Tighten gently if necessary.

Operating Instructions

Your GIMILI Commercial Kitchen Faucet features a single handle for temperature and flow control, along with two independent nozzles for versatile use.

  • Main Handle: Lift the handle to turn on the water and control flow volume. Move the handle left for hot water and right for cold water.
  • Pull-Down Sprayer: The sprayer offers two modes:
    • Spray Mode: Provides a high-pressure water flow, ideal for rinsing food debris from dishes and cleaning the sink.
    • Stream Mode: Delivers a gentle water output, suitable for filling pots quickly and conserving water.
The sprayer features a bayonet locking design, allowing you to activate both nozzles simultaneously for specific tasks. The high arc design and 360° rotation ensure comprehensive cleaning without dead angles.
  • Pot Filler: The separate pot filler spout provides a steady stream of water for filling large containers.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and pristine appearance of your GIMILI kitchen faucet, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Regular Cleaning: Clean the faucet regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the brushed nickel finish.
  • Prevent Water Spots: Wipe the faucet dry after each use to prevent water spots and mineral buildup.
  • Check for Leaks: Periodically inspect all connections for any signs of leaks. Tighten connections gently if necessary.
  • Aerator Cleaning: If water flow decreases, the aerator on the sprayer head may be clogged. Unscrew the aerator, clean any debris, and reattach.
  • Ceramic Valve Care: The ceramic precision valve cores are designed for long-term, leak-free use. No specific user maintenance is required for the internal valve.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your faucet, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Low Water Pressure:
    • Check if the main water supply valves are fully open.
    • Clean the aerator on the sprayer head for any mineral buildup or debris.
    • Ensure water supply lines are not kinked or obstructed.
  • Leaks from Connections:
    • Turn off the water supply.
    • Gently tighten any leaking connections with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
    • Ensure all gaskets and washers are correctly seated.
  • Faucet Wobbles:
    • Ensure the large mounting nut underneath the sink is properly tightened. Remember to loosen it slightly after initial hand-tightening to allow the side screws to secure the faucet effectively.
    • Tighten the two side screws on the mounting nut evenly until the faucet is stable.
  • Difficulty Switching Between Spray/Stream:
    • Ensure there is no debris obstructing the button mechanism on the sprayer head.
    • Check water pressure; very low pressure can sometimes affect the switch mechanism.
  • Soap Dispenser Clogged:
    • Remove the pump mechanism and clean it thoroughly with warm water.
    • Ensure the soap used is not too thick or contains particles that could cause clogging.
