1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and effective operation of your Hakuta LED-500 Wi-Fi Smart Fog Machine. This device is designed to produce fog effects with integrated LED lighting, controllable via a mobile application or an infrared (IR) remote. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the machine's requirements (AC220-240V 50/60HZ). Always connect to a grounded outlet. Do not operate with damaged cords or plugs. Disconnect power before cleaning or servicing.
  • Fog Fluid: Use only water-based fog fluid specifically designed for fog machines. Do not use flammable liquids, oil-based fluids, or other substances. Fog fluid is not included with the machine.
  • Placement: Place the machine on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Do not block air vents. Keep away from heat sources, open flames, and water.
  • Operation: Do not touch the nozzle during operation or immediately after, as it becomes very hot. Keep a safe distance from the fog output. Do not aim fog directly at people or animals.
  • Indoor/Outdoor Use: The machine can be used indoors or outdoors. When used outdoors, protect it from rain and moisture.
  • Children and Pets: Keep the machine out of reach of children and pets.
  • Overheat Protection: The machine features a built-in overheat protection system that automatically shuts down the product if it overheats. Allow it to cool down before resuming operation.

5. Setup

5.1. Fluid Installation

  1. Unscrew the cap of the fog fluid tank located on top of the machine.
  2. Carefully pour atomized liquid (fog fluid, not included) into the tank. Ensure the metal liquid nozzle inside the tank is fully immersed in the fluid. Do not overfill.
  3. Securely screw the cap back onto the tank.

5.2. Power Connection

  1. Ensure the power switch on the machine is in the 'OFF' position.
  2. Connect the power cable securely to the machine's power inlet and then to a suitable grounded electrical outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Preheating

  1. Turn the power switch to the 'ON' position.
  2. The machine will begin to preheat. This process typically takes 2-3 minutes.
  3. The green LED indicator light on the front of the fog machine will illuminate once preheating is complete and the machine is ready for operation.

6.2. Wi-Fi App Control (Fog Effects Only)

The Wi-Fi app allows for convenient control of fog effects from your smartphone or tablet.

  1. Download and install the designated control app (e.g., Smart Life or Tuya app) from your device's app store.
  2. Ensure your smartphone/tablet is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to pair the fog machine with your Wi-Fi network. This process is similar to setting up a smart bulb.
  4. Once paired, you can control the fog output using the POWER ON/OFF button within the app. Press 'ON' to initiate fogging for 40-60 seconds, followed by a reheat cycle. Press 'OFF' to stop fogging.

6.3. IR Remote Control (Fog Effects)

The included IR remote control provides direct control over the fog output.

  1. Ensure the machine is preheated (green LED indicator is on).
  2. Point the IR remote control towards the machine.
  3. Press the 'A' button on the remote to activate fog output. Press 'B' to stop.

6.4. RF Wireless Remote Control (LED Lights)

  • Power: Use the 'W' (White) button to turn on white light, or 'OFF' to turn off all lights.
  • Color Selection: Press the colored buttons (R, G, B, and other color swatches) to select a specific LED color.
  • Brightness: Use the brightness up/down buttons to adjust the intensity of the LED lights.
  • Effects: Select from various lighting effects such as 'FLASH', 'STROBE', 'FADE', and 'SMOOTH' for dynamic light displays.
  • Independent Operation: Fog and LED lights can operate independently or simultaneously.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

  • Regularly clean the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth.
  • To prevent clogging, run a cleaning solution (distilled water mixed with white vinegar, 50/50 ratio) through the machine every 30-40 hours of operation or before extended storage.
  • Empty any remaining fog fluid from the tank before cleaning or storage.

7.2. Storage

Store the machine in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the fluid tank is empty and clean before storage.
