3. Setup and Assembly

  1. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the stainless steel inner tray, plastic salad box, and cutlery with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The main electric unit should only be wiped with a damp cloth; do not immerse it in water.
  2. Place Food: Put your food into the stainless steel inner tray. If using, place salads or other unheated items in the plastic salad box.
  3. Assemble: Place the stainless steel inner tray into the main electric lunch box unit. Ensure the plastic salad box is securely placed if used.
  4. Secure Lid: Close the lid of the lunch box and fasten all four side clips to ensure a leak-proof seal.
  5. Open Steam Vent: Before heating, always open the small exhaust hole (steam vent) on the lid to allow steam to escape. This prevents pressure buildup.

4. Operating Instructions

The Vovoir Electric Lunch Box uses PTC energy-saving heating components for efficient and safe heating.

  1. Connect Power: Select the appropriate power cable for your environment:
    • For home or office use, connect the 110V power cable to the designated 110V/220V port on the lunch box and then to a standard wall outlet.
    • For car or truck use, connect the 12V/24V power cable to the designated 12V/24V port on the lunch box and then to your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.
  2. Start Heating: Once plugged in, the lunch box will begin heating automatically. A red indicator light will illuminate to show that the unit is active.
  3. Heating Time: Heating times may vary based on food type, quantity, and ambient temperature.
    • Typically, it takes 20-30 minutes to warm food in summer conditions.
    • In colder conditions (e.g., winter or if food is refrigerated), heating may take 30-50 minutes.
  4. For Dry Food: If your food is dry, adding 1-2 spoonfuls of water to the stainless steel tray before heating can help generate steam and improve heating efficiency. Remember to open the steam vent.
  5. Serving: Once your food has reached the desired temperature, unplug the lunch box, close the steam vent, unclip the lid, and carefully remove the inner tray to serve.

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your Vovoir Electric Lunch Box.

  1. Unplug Before Cleaning: Always ensure the lunch box is unplugged from the power source and has cooled down completely before cleaning.
  2. Disassemble: Remove the stainless steel inner tray, plastic salad box, and cutlery from the main unit.
  3. Wash Removable Parts: The stainless steel inner tray, plastic salad box, and cutlery are dishwasher safe or can be hand-washed with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  4. Clean Main Unit: Wipe the exterior and interior of the main electric lunch box unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or rinse it under running water, as this can damage the electrical components.
  5. Dry Thoroughly: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the lunch box.
  6. Storage: Store the lunch box in a cool, dry place when not in use.

6. Safety Information

Please observe the following safety precautions:

  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Always open the steam vent on the lid before heating to prevent pressure buildup.
  • Do not heat empty. Ensure there is food in the inner tray when operating.
  • Unplug the device when not in use and before cleaning.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces immediately after heating. Allow the unit to cool or use appropriate protection.
  • Use only the provided power cables with the lunch box.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Vovoir Electric Lunch Box, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Food not heating:
    • Ensure the power cable is securely plugged into both the lunch box and the power source.
    • Verify the power source is active (e.g., wall outlet is working, car engine is running for 12V/24V).
    • Check if the indicator light on the lunch box is illuminated.
  • Food heating too slowly:
    • Ensure the steam vent is open.
    • Consider adding 1-2 spoonfuls of water to the stainless steel tray, especially for dry foods.
    • Extend heating time, particularly if food is refrigerated or in a cold environment.
  • Food is too hot/scorched:
    • The lunch box is designed to heat food thoroughly. If food is scorching, reduce heating time.
    • For very hot food, allow it to cool slightly before consuming.
  • Leakage:
    • Ensure the lid is properly aligned and all four side clips are securely fastened.
    • Check the silicone sealing gasket on the lid for proper placement and any damage.
    • Avoid overfilling the inner tray.

If the problem persists, please contact Vovoir customer support.
