PAI TECHNOLOGY BOTZEES Robotics Add-On Connect Kit User Manual

Model: 51208

1. Introduction

The PAI TECHNOLOGY BOTZEES Robotics Add-On Connect Kit is designed to expand the capabilities of your existing BOTZEES Robotics Mini Coding Robot. This kit includes additional interactive modules that enhance play and learning experiences, allowing for more complex and creative robotic constructions and programming.

Important Note: This Connect Kit requires the BOTZEES Robotics Mini Coding Robot (sold separately) to function. It is an add-on accessory and does not operate independently.

  • Place all modules securely onto the Base.
  • Connect the USB charging cable to the Base and then to a suitable power adapter (not included) or a USB port.
  • The indicator light on the Base will show the charging status: a slow flashing light indicates charging, and a light that stays on indicates fully charged.
  • For multi-module charging, connect two or more bases with a standard charging cable to charge them simultaneously.

3.2 Pairing with Botzees Mini

To enable the Connect Kit modules to interact with your Botzees Mini, they must be paired.

Image: Step-by-step guide for pairing the Connect Kit with Botzees Mini.

  1. Connect the Botzees Mini to a power supply and power it on.
  2. Ensure all Connect Kit modules are placed on the Base.
  3. Connect the Base to the Botzees Mini using the standard USB cable.
  4. Locate the pairing button on the Base (refer to image 3.1) and slide it to the other side to initiate pairing.
  5. Observe the screen of your Botzees Mini. When the "√√" (double checkmark) sign appears, the pairing process is successful.
  6. For multi-module pairing, you can use the same Control module to control all paired modules. Connect two or more bases, connect to the power supply, and start multi-pairing.

4. Operating the Modules

Each module in the Connect Kit offers unique functionalities that can be controlled via the Botzees Mini or the Control module.

Note: For combination commands, the modules will only execute the first number command followed. Any additional numbers will not be executed as part of the combination commands.

5. Maintenance

Proper care will ensure the longevity of your Connect Kit modules:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the modules and base with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store the kit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: Although batteries are included and built-in, avoid fully discharging them for extended periods. Charge regularly if the kit is not in use for a long time.
  • Handling: Handle the modules and base with care to prevent damage from drops or impacts.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Connect Kit, try the following solutions:

  • Modules not responding:
    • Ensure the modules are fully charged.
    • Verify that the modules are correctly placed on the Base.
    • Re-attempt the pairing process with the Botzees Mini.
    • Check the USB cable connection between the Base and Botzees Mini.
  • Pairing unsuccessful:
    • Ensure both the Botzees Mini and the Connect Kit modules are powered on.
    • Confirm the pairing button on the Base is correctly slid to initiate pairing.
    • Make sure the Botzees Mini is updated to the latest firmware (refer to the Botzees Mini manual or app for instructions).
  • Command cards not working:
    • Ensure the Botzees Mini's scanner is clean and unobstructed.
    • Hold the command card steadily for the Botzees Mini to scan it properly.
    • Verify that the modules are correctly paired and functioning.
  • Charging issues:
    • Check if the USB cable is securely connected to both the Base and the power source.
    • Try a different USB port or power adapter.
    • Ensure the modules are properly seated on the Base's charging contacts.
