Setup

1. Unboxing and Inspection

Carefully remove the watch from its packaging. Inspect the watch for any visible damage or missing components. Ensure all protective films are removed from the crystal and case back.

2. Initial Winding

Your OUPINKE G3236 watch features an automatic self-winding mechanical movement. If the watch has stopped, it requires initial winding to start. To manually wind the watch:

  1. Ensure the crown is in position 1 (fully pushed in).
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will build up enough power reserve to start the movement.
  3. The watch will also wind automatically with the motion of your wrist while wearing it.
3. Setting Time and Date

To set the time and date:

  1. Pull the crown out to position 3 (farthest out). Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. To avoid confusion between AM/PM, advance the time until the date changes, then set the correct time.
  2. Push the crown in to position 2 (middle position). Rotate the crown to set the date.
  3. Once time and date are set, push the crown back to position 1 (fully pushed in) to secure it and ensure water resistance.
4. Band Adjustment

The tungsten steel band can be adjusted by removing links. It is recommended to have this done by a professional watchmaker to prevent damage to the band or clasp mechanism.

Operating Your Watch

Automatic Mechanical Movement

The OUPINKE G3236 features a fully automatic mechanical movement. This means the watch is powered by the natural motion of your wrist. When worn regularly, the rotor inside the watch winds the mainspring, eliminating the need for batteries. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it may stop and require manual winding as described in the Setup section.

Luminous Function

The watch hands and markers are treated with fluorescent powder, providing a luminous glow in low-light conditions. For optimal luminescence, expose the watch dial to a light source for a period to allow it to absorb sufficient light energy.

Water Resistance (5ATM)

Your watch is water resistant up to 50 meters (5ATM or 165 feet). This rating makes it suitable for daily use, such as handwashing and swimming. It is not suitable for diving, snorkeling, or other underwater activities that involve high water pressure. Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam environments, as this can compromise the seals.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For the metal band, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Storage

When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, consider a watch winder to keep the automatic movement running and lubricated.

Avoidance
  • Avoid strong impacts or shocks to the watch.
  • Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields, as these can affect the accuracy of the mechanical movement.
  • Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged in water.

Troubleshooting

  • Watch not running: If the watch has stopped, it may simply need to be manually wound. Follow the 'Initial Winding' instructions in the Setup section. If it still does not run after winding and wearing, the power reserve may be depleted or there could be a mechanical issue.
  • Time inaccuracy: Minor variations in timekeeping are normal for mechanical watches. However, if the watch is consistently gaining or losing significant time, it may require adjustment by a professional watchmaker. Exposure to strong magnetic fields can also affect accuracy.
  • Date not changing: Ensure the time is set correctly, passing through midnight for the date change. If the date mechanism is stuck, gently try to adjust it using the crown in position 2. Do not force it.
  • Water ingress: If water or condensation appears inside the watch, immediately take it to a qualified watch repair center. Do not attempt to open the watch yourself.
