Installation Steps:

  1. Mount the Dash Cam: Secure the mirror dash cam over your existing rearview mirror using the provided bandages/straps. Ensure it is firmly attached and does not obstruct your view.
  2. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into the dash cam's power input port and then into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket).
  3. Install Rear Camera: Mount the rear camera at the back of your vehicle, typically above the license plate or inside the rear window. Ensure the camera has a clear view.
  4. Route Rear Camera Cable: Connect the rear camera cable to the dash cam unit. Carefully route the cable along the vehicle's interior trim to conceal it and prevent interference with driving.
  5. Connect Reverse Trigger (Optional): For parking assistance functionality, connect the red wire from the rear camera's extended line to your vehicle's reverse light positive wire. This enables the parking guidelines to appear automatically when shifting into reverse.
  6. Insert Micro SD Card: Insert a high-speed (Class 10 or higher) Micro SD card into the designated slot on the dash cam. Format the card through the dash cam's settings menu before first use.

Operating Instructions

  • Power On/Off: The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when the vehicle's ignition is turned on. It will power off automatically when the ignition is turned off. You can also manually power it on/off using the power button.
  • Recording: Once powered on, the dash cam automatically starts loop recording. The recording indicator will typically flash or remain solid.
  • Screen Display: Tap the screen to access menu options or switch between front, rear, or picture-in-picture views. The screen can be set to turn off automatically after a set time to function as a regular rearview mirror.
